My Learning Vacation with Wealthy Affiliates

Several days ago I stumbled across the Wealthy Affiliates (WA) offer of free IM training and the opportunity to earn the first $50.00 with a start-up novice effort. Finding the offer attractive, and being already deep inside a long journey in search of a suitable place on the internet for training and earning income, I signed up.

In fact, I was actually driven to WA via a review done on another website which, advertising the build-your-own-website product, said I could start with "no investment", then only $29.00 (approx) then after that $27.00 monthly (approx) for hosting the site. This sounded real good to me but, having already wasted so much time and money in the past 18 months on this search for an online business, I was cautious and decided to read some reviews on the provider. That is how I got to WA.

The first impression I had of WA was its level of organisation - impressive. The second influential factor was that he founders, especially Kyle, was available and chatting inside the Live Chat space. The third was that the promise of a single click to get started at no cost, was true and fulfilled. The fourth impress-or was that there is a community at WA; and the community is alive and active.

There must be many persons within the community who have not yet made a cent in income, as several participants emphasize that they are new. At the same time, I found many members who are the managers and owners of more than one websites and those websites have ads posted on them, which indicate to me that those persons must be making some money from the WA processes.

I have been away from work on annual vacation leave during this month of January. For all of the past several days, I was therefore able to spend many many hours learning the things offered on the site for free. I have now completed the Level-1 training. That enabled me to create and publish a website (in the free sub-domain) which, I do not yet consider completed or even of sufficient quality to be in the public domain without an apology. Therefore, I intend to work on bringing this site up to speed during the month of February.

I reviewed the Level-1 training twice and actually had to return to certain lessons and sections several times to understand and use the information/instructions. I am now doing more learning than anything else. It is true that one has to be patient and to ensure that whatever is done is sustainable. That is what I am looking for: a model that I can then rely on.

Of course, one can only do so much and no more with the free stuff. But I think I need to master the sub-domain environment and the free stuff training before starting to put out more funds in search of an internet/online business. There is still a lot to learn in the Community - for example, I spent most of today visiting the website of some of the WA subscribers in the Network that I've been able to build. Many of them are clearly "wealthy affiliates" with vast online business experience and expertise. Perusing and surfing their websites, I found, is a huge source of learning and a good way to develop my own business ideas.

I return to work tomorrow. The dole is an unhealthy grind in my current circumstances, but one that I must continue to bear and make the best of. One of the main reasons I dedicated so much of my vacation to building a relationship with WA is to bolster my search for an alternative to the dole... to strengthen my search for freedom to use my time as I could and should; to find a financially viable alternative to subjugation for the rest of my active life. I have not yet achieved. WA is an instrument or a channel. There is so much more to be done and to learn here - even without yet being a premium member (i.e a paying member?).

I do not regret vacationing with Wealthy Affiliate. I thank the founders and WA Community members for giving me of your time. As I return to work and will be spending less time at the site, I wish you all God's blessing and bid you Peace.
