Remember When . . .
Hey WAmily - to steal a term from someone in the community. Welcome to my first post. Reading what y'all have shared, the coupla days I've been in WA, it seemed like a lot of fun to do. So, here I go jumping in with both feet.
Remember when, as kids, on Saturdays, we had no trouble getting up. Why the noise from the sunlight peeking through the curtains in our bedrooms would wake us up and spark us into action. With our brains and bodies racing at mach speed we got up and raced out of the house knowing the next adventure was just waiting for its' lead character - us, and we dare not be late. There was never a thought given by aany of us - me, you and / or your friends that anything was impossible or that there was ever a problem without a solution. No, as a kid, we knew all things were possible. The top of the mountain was always in reach.
So, here we are today, having survived a multitude of life's challenges and yet, we still believe in ourselves and in "what if". What if, after all the searching, disappointments, all the wasted time and money, after being beaten down and laughed at again and again, we have arrived. We have arrived at a place of true oppportunity, with, most important of all, other "kids" - who, like us, have not stopped dreaming and who still believe in themselves.
I really believe that is the vibe I feel, that I'm / we're not alone anymore. There still are other "kids" just like us. And, we have found each other. I feel that is the strength the community provides each and every one of us. I know when I cross the finish line, I will be wearing a tee shirt with "Mr. Gullible" printed on the front. Hell, that might be one of the products for sale on my website.
So this post is really a thank you to one and all for being here - for being kind enough to follow and support each other. WA is my place to get away from everyone I know that has "settled" and accepted the value that life has put on them and who want me join their ranks. No chance. I am in much better company now.
Something from Zig Ziglar: "You were designed for accomplishment, engineered for success, and endowed with the seeds of greatness."
Well, Tinker Bell's telling me it's time to get a move on or I'll be late for my gym workout. Gonna blast either Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are" OR Lady Gaga's "Edge of Glory" now to get my body and blood moving. If you don't have these songs on your phone, go to YouTube and blast away. What I'm doing is cementing my WA intent with emotion - what the music brings out. If you've neer done it, give it a try. For something to lock in, there has to be emotion. Words are great but emotion fuels the mind and let's the mind know in no uncertain terms THIS IS what you want.
With that, I'll sign off and say, "Good night Mrs. Callabash, wherever you are."
And if you remember that sign off, you have been around awhile. No worries, as Rod Stewart tells us, we're "forever young"!
So, rememer to please approach your WA business with the mindset of a kid. What you desire is possible and YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN! And, the rest of us kids KNOW it! As Nike states, "JUST DO IT!!!"
Boy, are we gonna party at the finish line.!!!
Cheers, everybody!

Taketheleap friend:
I have felt his words as if they were my own, and I apologize for my daring. Among other things I was ahead of my first blog. And yes, his words fill me with optimism, because he is confirming once again, that I am in the right place. And it is true that emotion makes a difference and we should never stop being children. And that I want to see in the goal ..
