Leaving Wealthy Affiliate.

I'm taking my leave from WA...but relax. IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY.
I joined WA early in November and became a premium member at the end of the month. So as December is coming to an end and the new year is upon us my premium membership is going to expire and I won't be resubscribing.

WHY?
First off, I have my A-level exams coming up this January and then a lot more studies to cover up for May. I also have a social life to keep up with which is very important to me. I would stay a premium member but since I won't be able to work much at WA for the next few months I feel like spending $47 a month won't be very ideal for me.

I'm still not an adult so...
Being a 17 year old and living in a country like Saudi Arabia means a lot of opportunity is out of my reach. I can't have my own bank account so paying for WA has to be done by my parents. They are apparently not very supportive of me. Not a big surprise though! They only see everything from a negative perspective and its difficult to make them see otherwise. So there's no way they are going to pay $47 a month on behalf of me for WA which they think is not going to workout for me. Growing up in an Asian family is tough I'll tell ya that.

They just don't get it.
According to my parents, I should only focus on my current studies only so I can get good grades then go off to college where they will spend thousands of dollars just so I can get a degree to get a job which for sure won't pay too well. All of that for what reason? Only because that's what they did in their life and that's the only path they think exists.

Education these days
I love to study, I love to learn but I hate the whole education system today that revolves so much around grades. I mean cmon, you are judging a group of individuals who are all different in their own ways by the same exam paper? It's absolutely absurd. We learn things we are probably never going to use in our lives but we still have to. Why? Because that's what the system says. That's what society wants us to do.

My own way.
Instead of following this system, instead of following a road map that my parents create for me and listening to what society thinks I should do, I want to pursue my own dreams and do things my own way. That is one of the main reasons I came here to WA. I don't want to grow up to have a job that will require me to work for hours every day in return for mediocre pay. I don't wish to spend years working under a boss and letting him tell me what I have to do and how I have to do it. Over here in WA I can have a job based on things that I am interested in.

Anyways, I'm sorry for all the complaining I've been doing. I'm just really mad at the fact that I have to take a break from WA when I was making some good progress but I guess it cannot be helped. I have completed Phase 2 of Affiliate bootcamp training but I have gone through the training till the end of Phase 4 and wrote down all the things I learnt. Since I won't be a premium member, I won't be able to access those training courses but I don't want that to stop me from updating my site so I'll go through the things I've learnt thus far and implement them on my site for now.
Hoping to start earning from WA soon so that I can use that money at least to pay for my monthly WA subscriptions.
