Keep getting off the track
Glad I don't have a boss, but
Even worse, I'm my own boss and I'm harder on myself than anyone else would be for sure.
However, I would be making excuses right now for not doing what I originally plan to do today. I did get a lot done. I think. Reviewed a lot of websites that kept popping up for review. I couldn't resist passing on the practice, exposure to good design and good content reading.
They kept coming and I kept doing them. Couple of dozen when it was all said and done.
Now, I feel like the whole day was wasted and I'll be up all night, like last night reading, analyzing and figuring out more strategic ways for improving, marketing and course of action.
Website I found for SEO tools, keyword sight analyzing, back links checks and such, I couldn't stop doing stuff when it was such a useful tool for feedback.
But it still leaves a million things to get done. Please tell me it gets easier.
Start of the week I put up daily reminders for some things, content, search, affiliate links organization, emails. OMG. I'm so far behind. Didn't get it all done. I feel like each day, I'm not getting anything done and I literally work from the time I wake up to the time I fall asleep because I can't keep my eyes open anymore.
Any useful advice, to focus my attention, activity and improve productivity. I need a feedback meter, because I don't know what is really par for the course. My last career, the results were immediate. Results reflected changes quickly.
Now, my lack of experience with this stuff, doesn't give me any foresight, prediction and feels mostly speculative. I'm not shooting in the dark, am I?
Can someone that knows, let me know whether I'm shooting at some correct targets? Is this leadership quality efforts or just a pinball bouncing from bumper to bumper?
1. Half done with course lvl 2.
2. First website mostly done 90% or so, presentable, I'm not happy with layout design, but accumulating content. No back links yet, did SEOtools, aligned keywords, no stuffing flag, fixed suggestions for all alerts except quality back links, and refine keyword suggestions. Rewrote problems areas.
3. I have 5 other domains I have purchased, 2 have indexed already but I barely got information to them. Should I put up construction plug-ins? I don't think anyone could find them. What is protocol?
4. I have 6 affiliate partners, organized and set up some short codes for easy posting and reference. 4 of the partners codes, banners or HTML trackers keeps triggering an unsecured link on google browser, so I'm' afraid to use not to cause the Google unsecured download notice. Any advice on this issue? Do I need to go back to the affiliate partner and have them change from flash to HTML5 or is there a quick fix, or bypass? What's standard protocol? Do they fix it or do I fix it? What's the boundary as a pseudo junior webmaster?
There's more, but you get the point.
Gonna just play poker online tonight I think for some instant gratification.

Thanks everyone for feedback and support. I didn't read anything horribly negative so, I'm going to keep trying to drive 2 sites I have finished, add, adjust as necessary. Squeeze a little time for my long term major project as available.
I did take Susan's idea, dry erased boards, files, in boxes, organizers.
My little one now wants to get into all the cool new stuff in dad's office. lol
Hi Narong!
This is perfectly normal, it’s so exciting and interesting and you just want to do everything!
But I agree with both Jeannine and Susan...1-focus on one site until you are happy with everything before you spread yourself too thin on multiple sites
2-organize your information in a way that makes it easy to find when you need it.
All the best to you,
KyleAnn
It is up to you how often and when you work. That is the joy of being your own boss.

That's for sure. lol, stayed up all night, built a website from domain purchase to finished product. Listed, and paid for 4 day ad run with Facebook...see if its the right ad market for that niche. anyways, I wanted to finish it before Cyber Monday, because they make great Xmas gifts. So, I'm gonna take today off. Work later tonight, maybe.
Narong,
Sounds like you need to get yourself organized with a plan;
this first and foremost before you just keep running around
like a chicken with its head cut off.
Write a list prioritizing everything - give each thing on the
list a certain amount of time to do each one - set a timer
if need be and do not deviate - when the time is up what you
did not get completed will be left for the next day - move
on - set timer again - keep doing this and before you know
it - you will have a very good routine to follow and keep
everything in order.
Make files keep everything in files for each website and
only work on one at a time making things go smoother.
You will be surprised at how much more you can accomplish
with things written down and a scheduled time for each one!
Hope this helps you :)
For starters, you need to focus on one website. Once you've learned the process and made that one a success, subsequent ones will be much easier to do. Work on your projects first. You don't need to review every site that asks right now. That will slow you down for sure.
That being said, don't beat yourself up on spending time on other things as well, most importantly family things. Life will interrupt your WA activities, as it should. It's about priorities. There is no deadline to complete your site, no magic date that must be met. Take your time to do it right, get sleep when it's time and you'll get it all done in due time.
Thank you for that insight and bit of direction. I was feeling a bit critical of myself for not reviewing websites as they were coming in, but I'm starting to realize people sometimes don't appreciate taking time out of my day to help them.
Forgot to add, I love doing this, feeling of direction, purpose and for once have one of those jobs where I can give back to people and community as I progress and succeed. Passing along information that worked. I hope.
