How Do I Block Ads On Embedded YouTube Videos?
“How do I block ads on embedded YouTube videos?” is a very popular question that pops up on Google under the “People also ask” section so I thought this will be an interesting topic to investigate.
Let me clarify my reasons behind this post:
1) I am putting Partha's SEO strategy to the test :) Thank's Partha. :)
2) I am investigating to see how well WA blog posts do in the Google rankings for specific keywords. (Yes I know that this post is not really written with SEO optimisation in mind as much as my actual blog article on this topic, but let's see what happens regardless). :)
3) To share my own excitement that I actually found a strategy where I am able to block ads on embedded YouTube videos to use within my own blog articles without the distraction of YouTube ads and without downloading the videos and uploading it to another video player that will get rid of the YouTube ads. Not only that, but on top of this I also have the ability to have clickable links inside of the YouTube video or subscription forms, banners, social media actions etc.

Now the question is: Are you looking to block ads on your own created embedded YouTube videos or are you looking to block ads on the YouTube videos you would like to embed from other YouTube content creators?
My recommendation is that you ONLY use this method to block ads on your OWN created YouTube videos as it will not be ethical to block ads on the videos from other YouTube creators should you choose to embed YouTube videos from other creators in your blog articles.
If you are simply looking to block YouTube ads on your own YouTube embedded videos then a simple solution may be to upload your videos as unlisted and YouTube ads will then not show. The drawback is that your videos will not show up on YouTube. Depending on your goals it may be desired or not desired at all. For example if you would like the video to be private, as your only goal is to use the video inside a sales funnel, then perfect. If you however want the video to be visible on YouTube, but then you want to strip out the ads when you embed the video in your blog article, then you will need another solution.
This solution is fully described in my “How do I block ads on embedded YouTube videos?” article which is posted on my Product Spotlight website, which you will find in my dedicated area here on WA.

If you embed YouTube videos in your blog articles, then hopefully you found this blog post both useful and interesting. Feel free to let me know in the comments section if you have any alternative methods of blocking YouTube ads on your embedded YouTube videos?
Blocking ads on YouTube for an ad free viewing experience is of course a whole other topic with different strategies. That is actually also a very interesting topic for future discussions.
I wish you all the very best of online success and remember, you can do it! Keep silencing your critics by becoming an online sensation!
Best wishes!

Hi Schalk - but isn't that denying the YouTube creator their source of income?
I know it's freedom of choice as to whether you want to do this, but as affiliate marketers ourselves, we know how the system works and how people monetize their sites and YouTube channels to earn an income.
I have to say that I don't find it ethical either if somebody has spent hours creating their video, and you essentially use it for your own financial gain by adding your own CTA.
To me, it's no different from somebody copying your website posts and adding their own affiliate links to them!
Just my personal opinions, of course!
Dear Diane. I totally agree with you on the ethical side of things and that is very very important indeed!
I will change my post to reflect that it is important to use the strategy ONLY with your own created videos as it will not be ethical to do so with the videos from others, should you choose to embed those videos in your website articles.
Many thanks for your valuable thoughts!

Dear Diane
I have now added the following to the blog post: "My recommendation is that you ONLY use this method to block ads on your OWN created YouTube videos as it will not be ethical to block ads on the videos from other YouTube creators should you choose to embed YouTube videos from other creators in your blog articles".
Later today I will also update my actual blog article on my website to reflect this.
Once again many thanks for your very useful thoughts and comments in this regard. You are much appreciated!
Many thanks!
Schalk

Found this out in school. We are required to upload our videos as unlisted where no ads are shown. :) But it makes me wonder if you could create a youtube video basically telling those who visit your channels to click on the link in the description so they can view your unlisted video.😏
