Exiting Adventure!
I am new to Wealthy Affiliate, but have managed to rank at level 2 with a clever catch line, “Movin’ On Up!” Reminds me of the tv show, “The Jeffersons”.
“Well, we’re movin’ on up… To the top..”
I see a ton of growth potential for me as I progress through the training material. Sometimes I need to slow down and take a breath. I am a very detailed oriented person that strives for perfection. Trust me when I say that my website is complete, and I still find myself polishing things every time I visit it. WA is a fantastic place to learn, engrossed with an enormous amount of material, and a fantastic community!
My Current Position or State of Being!I have been going through the training. Decided on my niche. Designed my first website. I Joined Amazon Affiliate Program. I have placed ads on my site. I even created a custom ad on the sidebar that goes to a page to promote WA. Believe it or not, I’ve accomplished a lot in a short amount of time.
The niche that I decided on was guitar, but the topic is so broad that I had to narrow it down. I decided to focus on “Quality Made Guitars for Beginner and Intermediate Players”. Narrowing down the niche to something a little more specific allows me to focus on fewer items to sell. I only want to offer quality items.
The site has a focus on beginner to intermediate players. I will be including guitar lessons. I have the tools to create music and can place sheet music, as well as MP3 sound clips on the training material. The articles are all about guitar components, playing, songwriting, repairs, etc.
I have the comments thread set up, but I want to include a sign-up for announcements of sales and new articles. I told you that I keep adding changes to the site!
My immediate plans are to improve the knowledge, and use of keywords on my site. I also need a little firmer grasp of SEO and how to make improvements to my page statistics. I also need to dedicate a little time to offering feedback and answering questions on WA. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you! Such a cliche but so true.
My Future GoalFor the short-term future, I will continue to invest time in my site and learn new skills to improve ranking. I know that advertising is a winning strategy but I have not reached that far on my plateau. At this stage, I will rely on keywords and site improvement.
My goal for the next 6 months is to build another niche website. I have ideas for a few different niches, I need to decide on one. I desire to take the knowledge that I have accumulated thus going forth. I will use my newfound super abilities (The Justice League) in the new platform. I almost can’t wait to begin branching out.
In ConclusionI would like to end by saying that I am thankful that I found J-KWest website and read his post about WA. I am also thankful to the team behind WA and the amount of work that they have accomplished. They have created a platform for people to learn and share. This site has a fantastic community and I am happy that I invested in a premium membership. That does open some exciting doors for the future.
