Email Accounts Hacked and Threatened
Instead of starting the day working on my website and training as planned, I had to put it all aside because I got this threatening mail advising that my accounts had been hacked. The mail included various threats and not a request but a demand for money or else.
It adviced that it was pointless going to the authorities as they/he could not be traced. So I had to pass/waste a considerable amount of my day changing passwords and submitting a report to Google.
I'm not going to let this deter my day however, but it does throw you off a bit.
I'm moving on and going to have a wonderful day.

Like David said, this email is probably fake. I get all kinds of scammy emails like that in my spam folder all the time. I just delete them and keep on going...
Good that you did not let it ruin your day 🙂
It's fake don't let it ruin your day it happens all the time your emails haven't been hacked. When I get those I laugh and delete.
I agree with David, but changing passwords ounce in a while is just good practice. I wish there was a safe password generator that could be deployed.
Wouldn't it be great if we could all enjoy our online digital efforts without having to worry about all the hacker crooks that are out there?
It has still happened Dennis but I ignored it and Google put up a red flag the last time it did.
Yes it would be great not to be bothered by these sick individuals, but it takes all kinds to make the world.
Thanks and regards

My email provider uses a double User Name/Password logon procedure. While it has given me a little more sense of security, it takes more than 5 minutes to logon (sometimes 10 minutes) in the morning and is a PIA.
I've found myself using the "hibernate" shut down procedure, because it maintains my setting before shutting down my PC. This gets me started a lot quicker, but I'm not sure about security.
