Lots of Work Converting Posts But So Worth It!

I just spent hours updating one post with new links. It normally doesn't take me so long but I had to find a better affiliate since the first one I tried in place of Amazon (where all my links pointed previously) only pays 0.8% commissions! That is way worse than Amazon even after they lowered their commissions last year.

It is hard to tell how much some companies pay in commissions since the rates change and what they paid last year is not what they pay now. You can read a review of an affiliate program but the rates may be totally incorrect now.

In any case, after days spent applying to the new affiliate, learning how to create links to them (it is a bit different on different platforms) and actually updating the post, it is finally done!

I am using FlexOffers for most of my new affiliates now but in this case the commission is much higher going directly through the company rather than through FlexOffers which is an affiliate platform that takes it's own cut out too. This affiliate company goes through another site called Partnerize however, for creation of links. So I had to sign up to Partnerize and learn how to use their procedure. I debated whether it was worth it to add another set of passwords and steps, but in this case I think it is. I plan to use this new affiliate for as many of my posts as possible.

I still miss Amazon however. It is easier to link through Amazon since I could add most all the text or image links I needed through one place.

As I feared there are a lot more steps involved when you branch out from Amazon. Hopefully this all pays off!

Onward and Upward,

Jessica

Great post! I just followed you on Twitter as well.

Oh thank you!

Flex offers is a great choice. Its a bit more complicated than amazon, but you are dealing with advertisers first rather than products only.

Thanks. Can you explain what you mean by “advertisers first”?

For me, for example, with Amazon I decide that I want to market a floating minnow lure so I put that in the search bar for affiliate links. With Flex Offers, I first find an affiliate like Bass Pro Shop and become an affiliate. Only then can I market their floating minnow lure. Flex Offers doesn't provide the product links. They provide the format for the affiliate relationships and then the format for searching each of those relationships for products.

Yes, I have found that. Thanks!

Hard work will surely pay off!~^

Keep going Jessica!~

Thank you!

Sounds like you are on to something. So far, all I have gotten is turn downs- that has to change, eventually. In the meantime, I'm concentrating on traffic. Meanwhile, I got all of my content categorized yesterday afternoon. The tutorials were outdated, but once I figured out all the steps, it went pretty well.
I've put together a good list of keywords, now to research and writing .

Oh good! I was going to suggest categorizing as the best step to improve your site. Your information is great and categories will make it easier to find.

I have not made any money since I redoing my site. It is a lot of work but I am sure it is just a matter of time.

Well done
It will surely pay off in the end
Keep moving forward

Thank you Simone!
