SEPTEMBER GOAL: 20.000 Visualizations > Will I reach this goal?

Good morning WA family,

I am writing less because I am testing many things at the same time, which I will talk about very soon! Anyway, today I want to focus on an important feature for the SUCCESS OF YOUR PINS: THE USERS' BOARDS.

WHAT ARE THE PINTEREST BOARDS?

As you may know, all your created pins could and MUST be saved into THEMATIC BOARDS.

These boards allow to group all related pins about a theme (ex: Fall outfit ideas) and give more SEO strenght to your pins.

There are also the BOARDS CREATED BY PINTEREST'S USERS and these are the most important for us, infact ANY OF OUR PIN SAVED INTO ONE OF THEIR BOARDS has a huge huge visibility.

I tested several type of pins (video, only photo, photo with text, animations, repins) and found out that the MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR which brings an enormous amount of visibility to a pin is when THAT PIN IS SAVED IN A BOARD by a user.

In that moment, Pinterest's algorythm gives a BOOST to your pin which is shown to more people, other people save it and the pin keeps on having more visibility.

One pin (a re-pin actually) which has been saved in 6 boards by users has generated 3,300 visualizations and 17 outbounds clicks. So you can see what I am talking about.

SMALL GROUPS OF WA FAMILY PINTEREST USERS

So, to make the process easier, I was thinking that we can create a small group or groups of 5 people here who will save each other pins (one a day is enough) in a board (also a personal account will work for that). What do you think? It could be a good idea?

P.S. Tomorrow I will reveal if I reached 20 K visualization in 30 days, posting just 1 pin a day :)

Romy...interesting post.
My issue is that this is so new to me.
I have not put in the work with Pinterest, however, learning is the name of the game. I appreciate the introduction of 'boards' for me.

Rick

Boards are a really goldmine, Rick because they can help you also to organize the content of your blog.

You could create a board for each category of your blog, and by working on Pinterest, you will discover what is trendy for that topic :)

I really need to get to learning about this soon.

Thanks again.

Sounds like a good idea, Romy. But to echo Frank's point below, would it be more beneficial if we all shared some overlapping niche?

I'm an artist and graphic designer like yourself - I can certainly benefit from saving one of your pins. I also share a love for music and would benefit from saving one of Frank's guitar pins to my music board.

Perhaps if we all had a common board, somethiing broad like an "Affiliate Marketing" board, that would be beneficial.

Yes, the affiliate marketing board is a good idea for those in that niche, Isaiah! πŸ‘πŸ˜Ž

I was thinking to create a very small group - just for testing this process, lets' say 5 WA members.

Each of us creates a personal profile, and 5 boards with the main topics of other WA members and save each pin in the related board.

I think in this way we could test it without making damages :))))

How would that work for my survival prepping niche or senior prepping or horses?

Cool idea, Romy :)

Teri

Teri, I am thinking to something like this:

1. Create a PERSONAL PROFILE
2. Create a BOARD for each niche of the group (rock guitars, senior, etc) because a person could have very different interests.
3. Save the pin into the board more closer to the pin's content.
4. Each pin must be liked and commented.

Maybe it could work this way

Hi Romy

Yes, it could be helpful if everyone in each group has the same Pinterest niche. 😎

Are you sure Frank? I saw that one pin has been saved in 8 different personal boards (home decor, quick saves, clothing ideas). I don't think at all the SAVING BOARDS should be all the same niche.

It's the fact that someone else SAVE a pin in a BOARD that boosts the pin, not the fact that board belongs from your same niche. It would be the opposite to Pinterest's phylosophy if it was that way!

Hi Romy

There can be a certain amount of diversification. For example, it would be fine to put a pin with an image of a guitar and a Ferrari in a board about fast cars.

If someone saves your pin in a board that does not add value to that category, the Pinterest algorithm may penalize them, not you. Additionally, you would likely not benefit from it due to the lack of interest in your pin.

What do you think would happen if you saved the pin below to your board about fabric design? Lol πŸ˜†

Frank 🎸

Ok, I understand your point. So we can organize this thing this way.

1. Create a PERSONAL PROFILE
2. Create a BOARD for each niche of the group (rock guitars, senior, etc) because a person could have very different interests.
3. Save the pin into the board more closer to the pin's content.
4. Each pin must be liked and commented.

What do you think if we organize it this way?

Hi Romy

Yes, we could create another personal Pinterest account with multiple unrelated categories. These are called "A to Z" accounts.

However, it can be challenging to know how successful they generally are in terms of generating saves and outbound links because you won't be able to separate those metrics out from actual organic traffic in your business account analytics.

You will still require pins that are close to your niche. I can't see how the pin I showed you with the spider playing the guitar and destroying a city will help you get buyers to your fabrics site.

Frank 🎸

No Frank, I think my strategy is not very clear to you :))

It Γ¬s so difficult to explain a very easy process since we could only write here. Anyway, my strategy was to create a small group of WA members who supporting each other by saving the pins in a personal profile, with boards related to those pins.

But it is very difficult to explain the thing that it is better to leave it! No worries :)

Oh, I think I understand now, Romy. πŸ‘πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜Ž

Thank you, Romy! Excellent content.
I appreciate you.
