ATTENTION! PINTEREST is removing the VISIT SITE button from many pins (and you don't know it!)

When you work on your online business, you can encounter any sort of instant problems.
In these moments, having a community behind you to stay instantly updated is the most important asset to avoid being left behind!

So, yesterday I received two emails and a WhatsApp message: they all pointed to this MAJOR GLITCH happening on PINTEREST that is affecting our traffic.

PINTEREST IS REMOVING THE "VISIT SITE" BUTTON FROM PINS
- More expert Pinterest users noticed that on some pins the "Visit Site" button has been removed.
- This means that even if your pin gets views β†’ you are losing traffic.
- There is no communication from Pinterest explaining why your link was removed.

CHECKING HUNDREDS OF PINS MANUALLY
Even though it was midnight, I ran to check my profile, which was growing steadily.
I had already noticed a huge drop in traffic to my Zazzle shop last week and was trying to understand what was going on.
I manually and randomly checked 20 pins β€” and almost 10 of them no longer have the "Visit Site" link.

WHAT TO DO NEXT?
Check all your pins to see where the link is missing.
Tony Hill is suggesting to write to Pinterest support and ask for the link to be reinstated.
It seems that in most cases, they restore the link after a human review of the pins.

ARE WE ALREADY FIGHTING AGAINST AI?
It seems YES.
AI is analyzing every single pin and deciding which should be labeled as an AI product.
Most creators who uploaded real pictures are appealing to Pinterest, asking for the AI label to be removed.

Now, AI is checking not only the visual, it is also checking the link, and if it decides your link is not legit β€” for any reason β€” it simply removes it from your pin, without any warning or email.

So now, you and I have to spend countless hours checking which pins have been affected and writing to support for EACH PIN to be re-evaluated by a human.

Wasn’t AI supposed to make us super productive?
Of course, smart guys like Tony Hill have already developed some paid tools to check your pins (if you have money to spend on this, go and look for them).

So, my dear, with all the PATIENCE in the world β€” check your pins and write to Pinterest support!
We don't want our hard work vanishing because of AI!

Appreciate the info Romy... I don't use Pinterest a lot, but they could be shooting themselves in the foot here just like Google by shutting out all of the smaller brands/affiliates....

I guess it's all about maximum $$$$$ now and screw the little ones...

Let's see how it plays out my friend... :-))

Morning Romy,
I was actually just on Pinterest this morning building out my daily schedule before heading to work and wow, this post was a total eye-opener. I had no idea they were pulling the β€œVisit Site” button like that. It explains some of the random drops I’ve been seeing lately.

Really appreciate you sharing this definitely gonna start checking my pins manually and see what’s been affected. This kind of heads-up is exactly why community matters.
Thanks again πŸ™ŒπŸ‘£

Yes, I am happy that my post was helpful, even if I am not happy for the reason why I wrote it.

In the Pinterest's community, people is saying that has been affected in several ways: someone is experiencing a huge drop of traffic, others just don't see the visit site button.

The Pinterest's manager in the community is reading all the posts but she is silent, while other times she participated very openly to any thread.

So, let's wait and see, I will keep you updated!

Hey Romy, thank you for sharing this. Pinterest is shooting itself in the foot and may very likely lose a lot of money through this new thing.

3

Exactly. It could be a bug in their spam filter system which detects non-legit some links that are perfectly legit, as they have admitted to some users!

Thank you for making us aware

You welcome dear! It is important to stay updated to take informed decisions!
