A Gift From An Angel
Miss Milkee Marie Erickson, age 11 months. She is a Maltese/Silky-Terrier mix and has the sweetest temperament. Milkee is trained as my Emotional Support Animal. Some of you may not understand how this works.
Milkee is constantly attuned to my forthcoming reactions to new or difficult situations. For example. Meeting someone new whom I have to deal with on a professional level can be stressful I\initially establishing respect. Younger people are more likely to accept me as an equal and authority than someone older.
Milkee immediately senses my need to stay calm, speak slowly and clearly in a firm voice,
Sensing this need, she gently rubs her little head against my throat. This is our signal for me to calm my breathing, slow my thoughts, and speak clearly. We have perfected this technique to the point of being unnoticeable.
Together Milkee and I are a terrific team. She is truly a gift from the angels.
Rolling along,
Sunday

Oh, that is so great! I am glad you have her.
One of our cats helps my husband who has PTSD. He is not trained but he certainly is qualified. He has become so good at knowing when my husband needs help calming down. He is quite dedicated to cuddling and making him feel better.
He also stands between us if we argue and meows in an annoyed manner until we stop!
