Drowning in email!

Since joining Wealthy Affiliate I have been through some great training and I have not finished yet. I have followed instruction as close as possible and done everything that has been asked. I seem to now have a website that I am very proud of aa I have spent hours learning and then creating it.

BUT, my inbox is actually heaving with emails that are considered as essential by many platforms. I have joined Facebook, Google+ and Pinterest as well as Wealthy Affiliate. Every single one of these are bombarding me with essential communications!

I have new followers in Facebook, Pinterest and Google+, I have had my pins repinned, my posts +1'ed and even Wordpress gets in on the act telling me that I have comments that need moderating. This is all on top of the mails that tell me that all of you lovely people are following me!

Please don't get me wrong, I love the fact that lots of WAers follow me and I would encourage you to do it if you already haven't. I also like new folloewers on Google+, Pinterest and everywhere else. But my point is, with a full time job, a fledgling internet business and a lovely family, when do I get time to deal with all these communications because they are all essential right?

AMEN BROTHER

Yeah, I'm getting a gazillion emails too. I clear them first thing in the morning. With Twitter I've changed my settings so I only get emails when someone follows me or retweets rather than daily updates etc etc. You should be able to change your settings here too.

You nailed it! Take your time.

I normally try and clear emails first thing in the morning. Which leaves me free to get on with my website. Maximum time spent on clearing emails is about 45 minutes -it can take over other priorities if you let it. Remember -You have the control

Just delete the emails you think are no use,do not get bombarded with these as this will not help you create content.Content is King.

You should be able to go to the settings in your social media and and WA to shut off certain notifications. Hope this helps

I used to have wonderful full hair, now there are patches missing where I pulled it out, yes, I understand. Do our best, you will succeed. Its all you can do, you decide what that is, then add 10% to it and soon it will blossom.

Touche Strap.
I am finding this exact situation very difficult as well.
I also know that contact with the other WAers is extremely important and definitely practical and helpful.
At least while I'm working on the lessons, Jane is answering the follows and blogs etc. We are working as a team at WA. This helps a real lot.

I am sooo right there with you! I did the exact same thing you did with FB, Google + and Pinterest. And probably get over a 100 emails a day. As you said it's great but does require time. I reserve time in the morning and then again at night to deal with all of it. It's rewarding but time consuming for sure

You make some very good points that emails can get in the way of actual business. It will take some time but you will then figure out which are essential and which are not. It is not an exact science but at some point you just know.
