My Wife Called Me Out (And She Was 100% Right): An Honest Look at Why I Haven't Hit My Targets

Dear WA Family,
Why haven't I achieved my targets yet?
I’ve been sitting down, looking in the mirror, and doing some serious self-analysis lately. If I’m being completely honest with myself—and with all of you—here is what’s really been holding me back...
1. The Trap of "Changing the Path"
As I’ve shared before, I keep catching myself jumping into different programs and chasing shiny new opportunities. Classic Shiny Object Syndrome!
But I want to be very clear about one thing: I’m not pointing fingers or criticizing any program, platform, or person. The responsibility lands squarely on ME. I allowed myself to get distracted. Moving forward, my goal is simple: lock in my focus, eliminate the side diversions, and stay on track.
2. Getting Too Cozy in the Comfort Zone
We all know the saying that success lies outside our comfort zone. It’s basic advice, but it’s so easy to ignore. The trouble with the comfort zone is that it feels safe and warm—but absolutely nothing grows there. If I want true success, I have to step into the uncomfortable parts of running an online business.

3. Fear of Failure & The Implementation Gap
This is the big one. Fear of failure is usually the exact reason we fail in the first place!
My wife gave me a loving (and brutal) reality check recently. She said:
"Paul, there is no one who plans better than you... but execution is your problem."
Ouch! My bad, but she was 100% right. I am a master at planning, but a hesitant implementer. I spend so much time making everything "perfect" on paper that I delay actually taking action.
Planning is great, but execution is what pays the bills. It’s time to stop overthinking and start implementing with genuine zeal!
I'd Love to Hear From You!
I know I’m not the only one who has struggled with over-planning and under-executing.
- Have you ever caught yourself trapped in the "planning phase" out of fear?
- What is the single best trick or mindset shift that helped you stop overthinking and just start doing?

God Bless,
Your Friend,
Paul
