Former CPA, left Houston, Texas at the end of 2015 and have lived in several parts of Latin America since. Currently, we live in Medellin, Colombia, the "City of Eternal Spring".
I've always believed I could be successful in an online business but I'm still trying to find my niche. This is my second try with Wealthy Affiliate and I intend to make it happen this time.
I now have two active websites and will start a third when I learn more about that niche.
1. www.retireoutsideusa.com is my current project to go through the wonderful training here at WA. I needed something I knew about. My wife and I have lived in or long-term visited 6 different countries in the past 3 years. We love living in new places and have had many "retirement adventures".
2. www.gracechurchmedellin is the website of our brand new English-speaking church in Medellin. We believe God has brought together a few couples to establish a christian church to minister to the growing Expat community. I have built a facebook page and now a website using the training here.
My wife, Paulette also recently rejoined WA and is learning right alongside me. We are excited about the opportunities we now have!
In April 2019, I was accepted into the Super Affiliate Challenge! That changes my life a lot. I'm putting Retire Outside USA to the side for the next year and will focus on promoting WA. Please follow along with me.

I really think you need to go back and look at our correspondence. I was very nice and offered premium advice. You are a Christian but what you accused me of is not correct and you were basically not being truthful. I didn't say anything that was hurtful. Only the truth which is what we are all here to seek, correct? Anyways, I'm sorry if I offended you. Maybe Kyle will talk to me because he needs to improve the training for people who do the work like you.

ps - This Texas Aggie calls Colorado, "A summer home." Well, almost. That is the plan. Get my Texas citizenship back and have two homes - one in Texas and one in Colorado.

Had a great time reading much of your retirement website. My husband and I lived in Mexico for 5 years, a few years ago, and now are back in the US, in southern New Mexico so we sometimes go to Mexico, for fun, new glasses, lunch, and dentistry.
I've wondered about all the places you mention. Several things keep us here for now: two great dogs who probably wouldn't travel well (bark! BARK!!!!), my Episcopal church family here, and cash flow. Also hubby does large wood sculpture which wouldn't move around well. Still, who knows what the future holds? Hablo espanol con un acento muy fuerte!

I'm here to get better at traffic myself! But one idea would be to google something like "colombia forums" or "colombia expat forums" or "latin america expat forums" and go to those and see if you could make posts with your url in you signature file without being out of line.

Hi again. You have been really helpful and I appreciate you. I am going to participate in this Super Affiliate challenge with promoting WA. I'm revisiting the Affiliate Bootcamp training, and trying to choose my direction and specifically my "Target Audience". I really feel like retired and soon to be retired people should be my target audience. So I'm wondering what you think. Are there enough of us out there interested and willing to do what it takes to create an online income stream?

I THINK that there are a huge number of us and that more and more from the U.S. and maybe Canada want to go south and get out of their expensive home countries. (Hey, some days that includes me...) If you think for example of the online and print magazine International Living, they have a huge audience which they have built up over time. You could get on their free email magazine thing.

Thank you so much for your response. I have taken all the advice from all of the comments. Don't worry. I am not about to quit just because it isn't easy. And I have decided to focus on something I am really passionate about, even though I am not confident of its money-making potential. At least the content writing will be much easier and fun. And I will keep learning and be ready to move toward a niche that may be better in the future.

Kyle, I was just notified that my membership and my wife's membership both renewed automatically. I had no intention of renewing this membership as I haven't visited the site in a very long time. You should have at least had the courtesy of a reminder that my account was about to renew so I could have cancelled.
Please cancel both of our memberships immediately and refund all of the amounts charged. I received a commission on her renewal and you can of course take that back.
Please let me know as soon as this has been accomplished. We are retired and cannot afford a surprise payment of $600 for our two accounts.

Often times I see folks quit just prior to their break through moment and I can tell you based on experience is that those that persist through times like this are those that turn out to be the most successful (in any business).
If you do decide to quit, we will host your website for an additional 30 days before we remove it. If you want to retain your work, you will either have to resubscribe (which is very easy to do) or you will have to move it to another host (which is up to you).
If you want to quit, you can do so within the Account Settings page:

When we follow members we will get notifications when they post something. For example, if you post a blog your followers will be notified. I personally think of it as a nice gesture.
