What Is Your Hour Rate? - What Is Your Time Worth?
Have you got any clue how much you are worth the hour? This has nothing to do with your salary of a regular job.
How much are you worth the hour?
No, what would you like to earn the hour? How would one calculate such a thing even...
Well one way is by going by the amount you now perhaps already are making per month on your website(s). If you haven't made any money yet, don't fret, just think of the number you would like to earn a month with your website in the coming year, but be realistic about that though, because sure we all want to earn a million.
Let's take an example. Say, your website gives you 200 USD per month. If you divide that over the amount of hours you have spent on your site during a month, you know how much you are worth the hour.
Well anyway, that is one way to look at it. But perhaps you also spend time working on a job earning some money. So perhaps you should look rather at what you would like to earn a month to make a living.
Let's say for starters about 2000 USD a month. Whether that is website income or a combination of a regular job, some local stuff and your website is then to be filled in later.
Now look at the hours you want to work. Let's say 8 hours a day, 5 days in the week. Gives you 40 hours a week and 160 hours the month approx.
Now we divide the 2000 USD by 160 = USD 12.50 (netto).
Often one needs to pay taxes as well, even if you got your website you need to pay taxes, so you will need to plus that. I am not sure about the tax system everywhere in the world, but some pay between 50-80% on top of that. So then you need to earn nearly the double to pay your taxes and sit with your 2000 USD in your hand.
Let's say you need at least 20 USD per hour bruto to pay your taxes and insurances and still have a great life. So you might be worth 20 USD the hour.
If you got a different number, fair enough. Whatever number you get to, just think about that for a moment. Let that sink in. See you tomorrow!

Honestly, I would like to be a little negative about this blog by asking is there any sense in asking this question. I certainly know what I know why I am here and certainly know what I am worth. Well I do not understand where you are going with this one but if it makes you happy, I suppose that will be fine but it did not do anything for me and I just want to tell you so but good luck.
yes there was a reason for it. Perhaps I should change the title of my blog into "what is your time worth"
Once I make enough to pay taxes which pretty sure in the states is over 600.00. I've been here two years. I have about 575.00 left to make before I have to pay taxes. Not gonna happen. I'll pass that bridge if and when it happens.
I think anyone who earns over a certain amount, whether that is through a job or own income, has to pay taxes. It wasn't really the story about the taxes, but this was more about how much your time is worth. Will talk about it soon / tomorrow.
