As I figured the WA community loves to see photo's, I thought I should share my family members. It is for a great part because of them that I can write new interesting articles every single day, as my niche is 'cat habits'.

Here is Tiger. He is currently the oldest of the family with 13 human years.

Most of our cats go inside and outside. This boy in particular needs to be outside most of the time, because he gets stressed up being inside and needs to move his muscles. He is not heavy by weight but by muscles when you lift him up. He loves to cuddle, especially hug like a human. But he is a red cat and red cats are known to have their mood swings.

Here is Kira. We got her in 2008, but she was born in 2006.

Kira has some strange habits. She loves to be rubbed on her belly like a dog. Kira also opens doors, even your outside door, so you need to lock doors all the time. She is also a lover of great heights. Sometimes she jumps your shoulder, to reach an even higher point like a door you are standing next to. Once she even jumped the ceiling and was stuck for a minute on the ceiling with her nails. Amazing acrobat!

Kira came together with a sister named Nusse. Nusse unfortunately passed away last Christmas (2016), which was really sad. I can say there was little Christmas Celebration last year for us. She suffered kidney failure.

Here is a recent picture of Nusse:

Still missing her much. :'(

Let's continue...

Hereby I present you: Tabby!

He is a real Tabby, isn't he? He just walked towards our house as a kitten. My guess is from a nearby farm, but it could just as well be of a feral family. Anyhow, after not getting any reply to my advertising for this found kitten, I decided to take him in as my own in 2006. I named him Tabby. He really LOVES cuddling. He gets easily overstimulated as that is called in cat jargon, so than he bites or nibbles you and tells you it is enough. I have learned to recognize this and stop before it gets that far.

Tabby loves to be outside, he is then also sometimes gone for three days in a row before he comes inside for a nibble, a cuddle and a well deserved sleep.

And last but not least...

Hereby I present you our most recent addition to our family, Felicia!

She was a complete feral cat that the local animal protection had caught at a fuel station near the highway. She really showed her feral side for the first year to us and people were afraid we would never be able to tame a feral.

But we managed it! She loves cuddles now, is demanding like any other of our family members and does no longer hide. It was an impressing transformation, thanks to the hard loving work of my wife. Felicia has a specialty of loving back rubs.

So with Nusse who passed away, we currently have four family members. We got one spot reserved for a new Nusse if you like to call it that way.

UPDATE 23/06:
We recently welcomed Nusse back in our family.

Other than our current four family members, we got three more cats living with us. They are foster cat projects, just like Felicia was (and actually Nusse and Kira were back in 2008 too), waiting for a new home to be adopted towards.

Currently that are Angel, Fluffy and Chanel. Angel is a kitten that was caught last winter. Chanel and Fluffy are two adult cats that were taken into care from an older person.
Here is a small picture of them (LTR: Angel, Chanel, Fluffy)

As soon as they have found a new home and family to live with, we will get new cats staying with us. Its a fun and ongoing process!

For more updates on our family members, you can follow my website, linked in the bottom right from here.

Have a great day!

- Steven

Nice pictures of the kitties :)

Lots of kitties!
Fyi, This is a clowder, or group of cats.

Beautiful cats...and obviously well taken care of. Having the live you do for your cats makes such a perfect niche. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Cute cats. Great pics

Wow Steven, great to see a fellow cat person so dedicated to their cats,

I love cats, because we never really own them, I like the fact that they actually own us, they are fiercely independent and do not like to be fussed over,

That is why I prefer cats to dogs, dogs I just tolerate, but cats I love, they are clean and as long as they have a clean litter box you will not even know that they are around,

The scratching of furniture is another matter, but there are ways of combating those.

My cat, when growing up, used to come home with all sorts of things, like birds, lizards and even little snakes to show off his prowess, most of the time the prize was still alive.

Great blog, will visit your website soon.

All the best
Gary

good family and nice

Great cats they all look very happy.
You are a great cat lover. Bless you, for taking care of them.

Great cats. I am missing now our cat she has not shown up this morning and until now she is still nowhere. I hope she is just around the neighbors.

Excellent post, Steven! You and your wife are special people. There are not nearly enough people like you on this planet. If there were it would be a much kinder, gentler place. :) I grew up with cats, and they all lived to be 20+ years old. Now I am a dog mama. I would love to rescue a kitten, but too much allergy in our house.
Thanks for the post! Keep on keepin' on!

Those are some beautiful cats. All but one of my 5 go in and out. They love rolling around in the grass. >^.^<
