Steven Esser - just call me Steven

Background:
Bachelor Marketing manager, IT specialist and programmer of websites.
Currently without a job and so full time on WA / my sites. So I got plenty of time to use on a new business venture.

I'm interested in mindfulness (learning to be), coaching, renewable energy (hope to build solar), electric vehicles (own one myself) and nature (living in Norway). I love biking, even though I am not currently doing so, also love swimming (got a lake 100m away and oceans and swimming pools nearby).

I live in Norway with my lovely wife Theresa Michelle. We currently have no kids, but we got 4 cats + 3 cats of the local RSPCA we are foster parents to. So quite a big family if you put it that way. We live in nature, less than 100m away from a nice lake.

Originally I am from The Netherlands, where most of my family still resides. Her family is mostly from the UK and Norway btw.

I joined WA through Nathaniell. I have seen many scam sites and MLM stuff that isn't quite my thing. I also have lost some money on a scam site.

I've always been on the digital side of things so writing stuff online is more natural to me. I think I found his website (OMCoC) because I was checking out scams and MLM pyramid like reviews. And then I came across the promotional side towards WA (of course) and got myself hooked into it.

So WA started as a trial of some free days, where I quickly figured out that this was cost effective to invest time and money into. Why?

Because you get excellent training AND HOSTING many nice features in one price. I can tell you as a hosting expert, that this deal is SUPER cheap. Even at the full price of 59 USD a month. I paid way less because I went with the Black Friday yearly deal. Anyhow..enough re-promotion ;-)

My goals:
Ultimately? To make a living with it and stop struggling with different jobs that I don't like to do. I am not going to say that I want to escape the 9-17 cycle, because with an online business you simply have a worse cycle, the 8 to 24:00 cycle.

For now? To get my site full of visitors, ranking some pages and gaining a dollar.
Spend? WA membership, Jaaxy enterprise, premium themes, premium plugins, lots of domains.

Hope you liked reading my profile. Feel free to ask questions, especially web programming or hosting related, but anything else is also welcome.

Hi Steven, thanks for the follow, I am now following you too. Like you,I spent a lot of money trying to find a program like WA. I was beginning to think that one didn't exist. Fortunately I found WA. I've learned a lot already. I had to step away because of Christmas, but I'll be hitting it hard again right after the holidays. Wishing you a and yours merry Christmas and a happy New Year. See you at the top.

Hi Steven, you're practically an "old timer" lovely to meet you here.
Since you have been here in WA how are you doing?
Living in Norway would be so cool, and I mean cool, can you even swim there in the water? I would have thought it would still be a bit chilly even in your summer.
Living in Oz we still have the 4 seasons but it is still very warm compared to Europe & the northern rhealms.
Thanks for following me, I have followed you right back.
Cheers, Jae

Hi Jae,

I am here since november 2016, not too old oldtimer yet, but I suppose being 37 I am getting older haha.

I love WA but I haven't made a penny yet. Been good with spending money and deviating and changing concepts. I have to stick with one and optimize it to the max. That's the big deal here.

As for Norway, it's snowing currently, building up to a good amount of snow for Xmas. We live in the South of Norway so we have milder climate then the rest of Norway, but can still experience temperatures of -15C (5F). Up in the mountains where family of ours lives its colder, upto -30 (0F).
Summers are though in the +25C (77F) or more, so swimming is possible in Summer and Autumn upto when the snow returns.

All the best and thanks for the follow! Let's share great content!

Thaks for the Follow, Steven. Looks like we have more than WA in common...my neighbor and I are caring for stray and wander-in "barn" cats, three of which have litters of two, three, and six kittens...we are working on spaying/neutering to stop the populasion explosion. Thank you for fostering, too. Best wishes,

Hi Steven,

Nice to e-meet you! I am a programmer myself, but never programmed a website. I do have a few questions about domain/ subdomain, hosting, etc. I need to think of how to word my questions clearly and time to write them up. I hope you wouldn't mind if I PM you when I am ready. Thank you in advance.

I wish you great success in your affiliate marketing venture and all the best to your big family! :)

Of course, your computer skills will be so very valuable for your goals here, and this community will benefit from your expertise.

I admire your interests, all of them actually. :)

Your endorsement of WA, especially considering how little it costs, is thoroughly credible, because of your expertise.

I'm so glad you're in this caring, highly skilled community!

You are most welcome here at WA too and of course welcome on my profile. Welcome to contact me on technical stuff as well.

I have high skills and knowledge in computers and general IT which helps me a lot. Got also a bachelor in marketing but the whole online marketing is still a lot to learn though. Need to gain the experience first of all (and getting sales).

Always glad to help out.

Hello Steven, I saw your Twitter post here and the cat picture caught my eye. My husband and I have three cats and your orange tabby and grey one look just like two of ours! Our third is a Norwegian Forest Cat...a huge boy with long white and orange fur. They are on the cover photo of my website...which is about cat health and behavior.

I live in Alaska and grew up in a remote area with solar power so we seem to have a lot in common.

Hi Jessica!

Welcome to my profile!
I knew the picture would be an eye catcher to cat-lovers. I am following you already a little longer since you are in a similar niche. I try to learn from your experiences with your site, since you already got sales and I don't yet. So there is proof there is also money in this.

My website is in the habits of cats (but that is also behaviour, right?

As I probably wrote in my profile, we got 5 cats of our own and 2 cats currently from the animal protection in fostercare).
I have presented them in a blogpost here at WA: But it is Tiger (orange), Tabby (tabby), Kira (black) Felicia (grey), Nusse (black-white, kitten)

And currently we have Angel (tabby-bit bengal, young adult) and Melody (black long-haired, kitten).

So we got a lot in common and a lot to write about everyday, because our dear cats will show us new stuff to write about everyday.

Alaska sounds a bit like Norway yes. Although I believe things are a bit more extreme there than here in South Norway where things are moderate.

We do have power into our house from the regular network, but do plan to go solar in the near future. We are waiting for the type of battery storage that you can live off when the normal network goes down. Currently that isn't possible yet - mostly law related.

You will find my website here on my profile under Follow Me On.

If you got social media profiles, I will be sure to follow those as well. It can certainly help, as I figured just yesterday with all those Twitter followers suddenly. Steven

Hello Steven,
Just discovered you through an answer, I love your bio and what you share with us.
You made me smiling because you are the first saying it :
When you work for yourself you are all the time working. In German they say : selbstständig, which means alone and always. God bless, here we are not alone !

Hi N (Anne)!

Thanks for your comment on my profile! It's true, isn't it? When you work on an own passion, you will be naturally working on it all the time. But it is more than just a job, its something like a hobby and becomes part of your daily life routine.

selbstständig - selvstendig - independent - onafhankelijk
there you go, my four languages on a line. selbstständig is really about standing on your own feet, being independent of anyone else whether that be your parents or an employer.

But we are not entirely alone on this new journey and that is a good thing to keep in our mind.

All the best!

Hei Pernilla!

Takk for sist!

So in Switzerland ey? I love Switzerland. Used to go on holidays quite a lot there with my parents. Pretty much been there over 12 times during summer and winter holidays.
Now that I live in Norway, a country a bit similar to Switzerland both in prices (expensive) and nature (they call some area's little Switzerland here), I do not visit Switzerland as often anymore, but hope to return there someday in the future.

As for Sweden I have only been to Gothenburg and so on. Driving an electrical car is a bless, costs little to get there, just the boat to Horten costs a bit, other than that it takes time to go to places. Sweden was great for us, we visited the rollercoaster park in Gothenburg. Other than that Sweden means shopping trips for us.
Although most shopping I tend to do in Germany and The Netherlands when I visit my family.

Hope you are doing well, that you have a job there and that you are doing well on the courses within wealthy affiliate. It is a real big job this one here too, but if you put enough effort in it, you will have success with it too.

Steven, that's nice to hear that you know Switzerland too. Yes, I like it here very much. I have been working as a flight attendant, but now I'm working in a book store - love to read books! My dream ist to be independant and have my own business - but not a conventional bookstore. I am now working on getting an online entrepreneur. WA is a great place to learn this business.

I really want to be successful in this business. I want to be able to work from wherever I am in the world. I want to be able to visit my family in Sweden (in the northern part), whenever I wish to and not to be bound to a workplace.

Have never visited the Netherlands, except for landing on Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It's of course of my must-do-traveling-list to visit the beautiful tulip shows, cycling around and much more - to travel is another passion of mine.

Hej och tack!
See you around in the community!

Hehehehe.. Hi Brad,

My/Our electric car is one of the fastest ones out there. Not the fastest, for I didn't want to spend the most amount of money either, but faster than any fuel car I have had so far. Faster than our 2.5L V6 ;-) So that's fast.

All in all, it doesn't come down to how fast your car goes, but how far you can drive with it and how safe. Range, safety. It has a good range and a lot of high safety. I think you can guess what car I got by now. Very American car too and a tiny bit Canadian if you like.

good one ;-) luckily the speed limits in Norway are mostly 60kmh to max 80kmh (if you need that in miles an hour, than you may translate that via google: '60kmh to mph').

We work on km as well. Most of our city roads are 50 km while freeways are 110 km and country more dangerous roads 100 km.
Country roads in the outback can be dangerous especially in some parts where there are many kangaroos.
I just came back from an outback trip 2 weeks ago and if I had a dollar for every dead kangaroo on the side of the road my trip would have been paid for.
Reply
StevenEsser Premium
Ah km there too. I see. Yeah well moose are dangerous. They can kill people on collision. Even though I have one of the safest cars of the world, I am not sure about the moose vs my car and I am not going to try it out either.

I don't know how heavy or how big the kangaroo is. Feel sorry for the animals that are killed by traffic. See enough wild life here too, even though the speeds are much lower. In The Netherlands I am used to see also the bigger stuff killed by traffic, while here in Norway its mostly smaller animals that bite the dust.

Most non city roads are 80km. Cities are 50 or 60 zones. Some house areas are 40 or 30.
High ways as in the USA are non-existing here. The highway we can come across in the bigger city regions (Stavanger, Oslo, Bergen etc) are 4 laners. 2 each direction. There the speed is usually 90. Sometimes 110.

The 'highway or europe road (Exx)' closest is a 2laner where you have upcoming traffic on the other half. Dangerous. Often 80km.
Whenever an accident happens somewhere, they lower it by 10km each time. Some parts of that road is therefore 60 or 70 while it is perfectly fine to go faster (but not allowed).

Sigh..so boring lol. boring motorways. And they plan to build a new motorway here, but it takes them 10 years to start building it and another 10 years to be done with building it.. and when they are 20 years further, they might have to change the plan again and start over. Typical stuff.

Goedemorgen! This place is full of international people I have noticed. Not just Dutch or Americans, also Norwegians even and plenty of people of other countries. I think almost every country in the world has a person here.

I am currently between jobs yes, I started when I was still working 70%. Currently the company has fallen that had me employed and I am living of unemployment benefit. In the same time I try to build out my new emperium. This is both WA related sites as well as some other businesses.

I have finished course 5 long ago yes, but I plan to redo it as soon as Kyle has rewritten them, which might happen soon.
I have started on Bootcamp too. Still in the beginning phase of that.

Norway is great to live in and work in. Enjoying every day here. No traffic jams to work!
My wife supports me with my project. She also writes sometimes for my niche site.

Will say hello! Thanks for your wishes. Wishing you the best too!

You seem to be a very nice person.

Hi Paul, good that you have no worries. When one is young like me, we do tend to overworry a little too much about all sorts of things we have no control about. Especially those type of things that are not in our hands.... perhaps in God's hands, but I won't go deeper into that subject.

Having said that, we do have control over what we do here at WA or generally to some extend in life in what we achieve and produce. I learn a lot here and have a lot of fun with it.

Thanks for your reply and follow. Greetings to Ontario Canada. Got family in Alberta, Grande Prairie. Have been from East to West Coast once upon a time in a four week trip.

Steven , I joined WA about six months ago , but have been too busy working to make ends meet at regular jobs,,
i hope to go entirely on line one day soon , if i get my head around what i need to do,
I did buy into the winners network where i had to buy a water filter $4500. still paying off , but with that came a website , which is pretty shit. but would like someone to fix it up.( if you would be interested _ rarpet.com.)
also if i'm going to be joining the WA Affiliate program
promoting WA, why do i need a website,
wouldn't i just promote the link.
my day jobs are
disability support worker
MH Youth worker
Contact worker - taking children from foster parents to visit the real parents

Hi Anthony, welcome here although you joined before me ;)
By going online you will be able to get in followers or sales through your niche site by simply writing articles on low hanging fruit keywords.
There are also no initial high costs, WA is in no way a pyramid or ponzi. But of course one needs to work hard to get cash.

For promoting WA you don't need a website, but it is the type of teaching they do here. You could simply sell to friends and on seminars directly to customers via the referral link.. or collect email addresses and send out. Or use social media.

But having a website means you can show them how to do it, show them tips and tricks, collect email addresses, send them offers on all sorts of things concerning affiliate marketing, not just WA referrals, but also the additional tools and software can be sold through referral links.

But I see you do some great jobs on the day, awesome!

I don't think I want to join that other network you linked.

Hi Steven,
Carl referred me to you with this issue so Im hoping you
can help me please? This is too hard to explain on live chat so I hope you don't mind me asking you here .

In the early days of learning out to link to other posts or to promote WA on my site somehow I ended up with a url at the at the bottom of my pages ...... and i cant get rid of it .
I tried to copy and paste it in here but it wouldn't let me for some reason(big red notice came up saying I cant paste that url in here !!)

On these pages there's nowhere for people to leave comments either so wondering if this is affecting it ??
It doesnt seem to be there on the post when its in the admin area but its there on bottom of all pages when they are published .

My site is www.recoveryfromnarcissisticabuse.com if you could have a look please . (one post also has some ?? text boxes on the bottom too which i cant delete either!)

P.S. Just fyi ...I was RosR but had to change to another name for issues relating to previous abuse. Feels weird but I had to do it for legal reasons. Bella Campbell is a mixture of family names from generations back so not totally fake!

I would be so grateful for your help.
Many thanks
Ros aka Bella!

Hi Ros/Bella,

I have been looking into your site and am wondering where the article with the question marks is?

I found the post with the wealthy affiliate link. Am now also wondering where that is put into. Is this perhaps a widget? An 'after post' widget spot for example?
It could be a text widget inside one of those area's.

Thanks Steven .
1. Il take some screen shots and show you what I can see and wonder if you see the same ? I will probably need more help in working it out though if you can bear with me .
The one I'm attaching is my About Bella page and it also has this text box thing there as well !!

2. Secondly , in search console , when I first go there it says no data available for crawl errors and in search analytics it says 0 clicks. I didnt think my posts were that bad? Is there some reason for this ?

I always get really good feedback from members inside in WA when I ask for it .

3. Thirdly , my site is called Narcissism....blah blah blah ...(tag line)
but my domain name is recoveryfromnarcissisticabuse.com .....does that matter ? I dont know how that happened way back when i had less idea than I do now !
Therefore Im not sure if Narcissism..blah blah blah should actually be a "home "page ...but I dont really need one /want one because I like how the blogs all show up when you first go to my site . Is that normal ??

Thank you so much for having a look at these issues for me Steven :)

I can reply here or on private mail if you prefer so, since your account is premium I am able to do so now.

1) I will look into this and find a solution with you via pm.

2) Search Console:
Did you post your sitemap? It should with the sitemap part in mind get all your posts and pages at least from the time you posted the sitemap, if not also after through making new posts. You can always repost the same sitemap again to search console for updating. It is also advised to fetch every post you make with fetch and request indexing.
Other than that, indexing at google usually takes some time.
I wouldn't straight away look at your own skills in this, but rather expect that some other system, such as google, take their time on things. From what I have seen and read, your site and content looks really good.

3) I don't think that site name and URL have much to do with each other, although it can be a thing. As long as it is a logical name, which it absolutely is, it is correct. I think I rather see the pagename with that tagline, to understand the narcissism better, than to have the same title as the domain and not understand what it means - at least from the dummy perspective - I know what narcissism is.

Answering the other things through PM because that's easier.

Hi Steve,

Do you have any info of what is possible with the Site Rubix website builder? Any pro functions for pro's or developers who want to get more out of it?

I am looking what is possible for:
multiple accounts access, allowing people signing up for an account on my website
database support, let every blog I create be a record in the database with its fields belonging to this record

These are my main question for now.

Thanks for any insight / help on this. If these functions are not available, it means I have to move one of my projects to Drupal 8....

Alright, didn't notice your comment here before. Will answer it here for you now.. - stay with me - ;)

as SiteRubix is built around the idea to make building websites as easy as possible, the advanced features are non-existent.

SiteRubix platform is build around WordPress. Everything is optimized for that purpose. They have recently added advanced hardware for caching html content of all blogs so that websites will be even quicker. They optimize the code so that things don't load double and with browser caching in mind.

That also means that more advanced functionality isn't available.
As a premium member with a domain hosting you do have access to FTP however.

I am not sure what the rights are on the database from the wordpress user that your site is using, whether you can create new tables within your wordpress database for that site.
If plugins indeed create new tables, than there is an option for you to add functionality.

You could build a plugin that handles the advanced stuff and install the plugin on your site.

If the wordpress username on mysql has advanced access, than you could probably find your username and password within the config files of wordpress on the FTP and use that to build whatever PHP code for your site (maybe even host drupal, if it doesn't conflict with tablenames within wordpress).

SiteRubix does not have support for multiple databases. I don't think they would want to offer that either, as they want to offer it as is with the wordpress hosting as their main USP.

But Wordpress does come with user creation for normal site members in case you want to offer premium content and the possibility of membership payments through gateways and woocommerce, so there are solutions for a lot of things.

Installing Drupal on SiteRubix might come as a giant challenge. Installing Drupal on a different webhost might be much easier.

The question whether you should join WA or not:
If you want the benefit of very cheap WordPress hosting with all the optimisations and updates and added security PLUS all the interesting courses on marketing, than WA premium is something for you.

Even if you host somewhere else but want to learn everything about marketing and get a community of support on it, you should consider joining premium WA.

If you however are looking into creating something completely non related to marketing or wordpress, I am not sure if this is the right place to be. But all projects online need marketing to succeed.

Just my many cents ;-)

I can still build 50 websites with info and linking them all together and to my projects outside WA, that can be a big win win ;-) It means anything I build with WA is for blogging/revenue purposes.

Btw, is there something like a twitter plugin which automatically can post a line once a new blog is created?

How does the SEO work? All automatic?

I think creating a test website can give me more insight what is possible.
Reply
StevenEsser Premium
I think you should definitely try to follow the first course material (get started here button on top left), it will get you started with a SiteRubix subdomain and WordPress site. The username is automatically created and you can just get started building your site.

There are all sorts of plugins, I am sure there are those that post to Twitter automatically too. I am not so much about letting it do this automatically. I rather do things manually so that I have full control over what is written in my tweet about my post and with what tags etc.

With Premium Membership you can build 25 siterubix subdomain websites and 25 hosted domain sites. As far as I know you cannot build subdomains of those domains. Yes in total that is 50 sites, but I prefer domain names so it is 25 max to me per WA account.

When your sites get too big (traffic wise) you probably have to move them anyway as there are some soft and hard limits on bandwidth at siterubix.

Of course you can use your marketing blogs hosted on WA to promote your other sites outside it. I could do so too. Got many systems outside WA too.

WA is for blogging yes. Or building info sites for companies.. works fine too. You can actually build pretty amazing and advanced stuff in WordPress. Some companies have used it to create shops and databases with product info or advanced membership systems or learning platforms. It is all possible, but the question remains whether WordPress is meant for it and if it will achieve best code and fastest site with such buildups.

To me there are limits as to what WordPress can do. Its better to have WordPress do what it is meant to do, such as writing blogs. Affiliate marketing on Wordpress works fine.

As for SEO. WordPress is SEO optimized. Your theme can be SEO optimized. And you can install a plugin such as All-In-One-SEO that helps you to build SEO optimized content.

Apart from all that, you need to write your content with the keyword in mind. The keyword should be placed on certain places in your content. This is all explained in the course material or the Live Video Classes.

Some of it you can access as a free member, but to really get the big deal of info you need to become premium. If you don't you will have to google it, but you know the problem with the internet: there is so much of everything its hard to find the right info and a lot of people are trying to make quick and easy money of you while giving the wrong type of info.

Hope that helps.

Do you know Quora? I think they are quite objective, 2 days ago a review appeared about WA. According to the official ranking pages out there, 87% of WA users websites have zero traffic and the rest is slow in general. The article also writes that WA does not provide any proof of it's success although they advertise with it. That we all will not make money from day one on, is clear to me. And it all depends how you want to use their services. Not everyone will make money as you need to be smart how to use your knowledge and bring this in fruitation.

The only way I see here, is use 25 website blogging websites with their own niche and use them to push the bigger outside WA projects, which offer real services, bringing in traffic.

Did you learn all courses? I did a course called the SEO Method from some years ago, 4x DVD, will I learn anything new or will much of it be old news?

1-2 month membership to learn all you can learn, build1-2 websites to try out and decide to continue or not, might be an idea too.

Which website do you have?

I wonder now, how many here, member for minimum 1 year or more, can say they succeeded in what they do? I mean a real success not some small add sales. Will be nice to see on hand of what website they have what their results are.

Do you know any here, where I can have a look at?

The hosting here at WA is worth it, although I use one service already, where I have one website hosted, they offer free hosting and blogging too and have some amazing websites, even html coding is possible for advanced editing, but no database support.

So it is really something to consider, if the knowledge is worth it.

Looking forward to hear your thoughts on this. :D

Here is a post of Nathaniell including most of the success stories of this year: Other stories you can probably browse for by using the activity dashboard and clicking on success stories tab.

I've not done any courses on SEO, other than the usual guides you can find anywhere on google. There is however also a lot of mis information on the web, mainly because they try to make money on selling you stuff that sounds good but isn't. Black hat methods etc.
The most basic info on SEO:
keyword in title, first paragraph, part of URL, part of title and description of page (this is done through wordpress plugin yoast or all-in-one-seo), image with keyword in alt-tag, add a video related to content to keep your visitor's attention span (anti bounce rates).
Otherwise they talk here about low-hanging-fruit keywords. Long tail keywords that are easy to rank for. The course is made for the absolute newbie in website creation, so you learn everything from the ground up. This can become a quick click-through for the more advanced person. Each part of the course comes with tasks. Tasks such as create a new blog on a new keyword, take a bit of time. So you create quite some articles and use quite some days to get through the entire course.
The course also takes social media platforms, review writing, affiliate links etc into account. So it is a lot of info to go through.

Apart from the main course of Kyle the website comes with a wealth of info by user generated content (tutorials and courses by other marketing and website professionals (members) within the community and the live video classes. It has recordings of all past years weekly courses and every friday there is a new live session.

Yes I think it is definitely worth trying out for a month or two. If you like it you stay, if not you move on. WordPress you can host anywhere, not just here.

My website should be linked on the bottom right here. I also got a bootcamp site (promoting WA) but it is currently not very active and therefore not linked.

I plan to use Quora to promote my site by replying questions. Not put time into it as of yet.
Maybe the statistics are correct, but do know that people are offered free membership here at WA. Many people are looking for a quick fix.. quick money. They create an account and quit. So a high amount of the community is inactive. The ones that are active still are probably making money.

Welcom aboard Steven. I will be watching you also. Got a question. I worked as a sales engineer for NERA, a microwave radio manufacturer in Bergen, Norway. I have a lot of Norwegian friends and have learned much about the history, culture and geography of the country. Many of them fished, hunted, hiked and like yourselfy were in touch with nture. But, I never heard of any of them isay they had swam in lakes or the ocean. So, my question is......can a person jump into a deep water fiord without a wet suit and get out before they froze to death????
Reply
StevenEsser Premium
Hi OsaD!

You sound like a busy man.. but aren't all pensionists?
Yes I do swim in the lakes and sometimes in the oceans, but as I am not a real Norwegian (am Dutch) I do usually wait until the sun has been out long enough to warm up the waters.

It's right now the beginning of April and one of my neighbours (a woman in her 50 or 60s) makes daily dives and swims in the local lake (only 100 meters from my house).

I suppose that the sea is a tid-bit colder at this point of time, while the lakes have underground wells and are often a little warmer, but still the tap water (which is coming from the same lake, but likely pumped up from the deeper levels) is measuring still a 5 degrees Celcius. Cold. Too cold in my opinion. I won't jump in there until June or August I think.

That going into lakes and any water really in winter is dangerous, goes for most countries in Europe. Hyperthermia is dangerous.

But in Summer the top level of open water is usually a good deal warmer because of the sun. The ozon layer is thin in Norway and therefore we get Summer temperatures of 25-35 degrees. Water warms up really quickly.
While in Winter some areas reach -35C. Suppose its similar climate to Alaska / Canada.

Hope that answers your question.

Google Analytics looks like a tough matter, sometimes i wonder why with technology has to be so difficult?
I need to work so much on Google analytics,it would take years if not centuries.
I prefer simplicity like average Norwegian or Scandinavian.
Originally i am from Lithuania, but i live in Norway for past 5 years.
How is it going for you with setting your own website and analytics,i feel like being analyst, but i am not good at such programs.Though i like to analyze things. But the thing Google analytics does is based on audience, traffic.Hard to control that matter.I understand why some people hire people to do that :D

All you have to think about for now is to correctly get the code working on your site. This is as much as copying an UAE code into your wordpress SEO plugin. That's it really.

Otherwise, don't look into analytics until after you have gotten some visitors on your site.. meaning.. write a lot of content first and then bother about stats.

And use great tools such as keyword tool or Jaaxy for creating posts targeting awesome keywords.

Hi Steven or Hei! Really you live in Norway?Where so?
I live in small village called Balestrand in Sogn og Fjordane region.
So you work with programming?I studied programming for 1 month it wasn't my thing, but i am good at videogames and i know one great guy his name afqmbiz. He wants to create some game using Amazon Underground or so.
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/afqmbiz

WA is cheap indeed with great domain, training, best what you can find in web.
I have some idea to work on like i would like to make game called ''Made in Online''about guy who wants to conquer and beat everyone in online matters :-)

MLM are full of scams, you need to promote their products and pay for them, even if you dont sell. The only good MLM is MOBE,but you need a lot of cash to invest and still you need to make sales as usually scheme for MLM.

I do live in nature too,fjords,mountains,forests,hiking trails,snow.

Bachelor marketing manager?IT specialist and programmer, wow you are talented Steven.
I can fix computer problems like virus and stuff with some software, pretty basic, but some people like wow how did you fixed in past.
Oh Nathaniell, well i know one guy named Moritz he showed me Nathaniell profile as well, but i was already joined.
I feel so pity not being able to join WA in 2005 once they opened and i joined in 2017.If i had found this site earlier,i probably would be rich by money already.
Electric vehicle owner?Well i have been in Japan for last 2 months,i walked through technology stores they have so much variety of items.Proably Europe,USA has no chance to catch Asia in manufacturing.
Whats more most people order online, but still so much stores selling electrical times.Japan is not like other Asian countries, but i never been to others.
Though i truly would love to go.Still i saw from reviews in online and talked with some people.
Japan is like the planet on its own with their own rules and society, but it does remind me of Norway.
Norway is different from any EU country as well.
You do have great big family,i wish i have big family too someday.
Family is biggest asset in life within health as well.Family and health other things you can do it more or less.
I wish i could get full-time work,i do work in historical hotel for 5 months and thats every year.My parents urge to do something or so,but what i can do all alone. Not that i didnt tried.
Well for that i need to move out to big city, but rent price is expensive, jobs are uncertain and many people apply.
That's why people go for alternative solutions like WA.
I love biking, but i have to go 5km everyday to work by bicycle, well i am environmentally friendly and saving atmosphere and nature for Norway and for everyone living there.
I dont even have driving license :D
Got oceans and pools nearby?Well 100 m lake is fine,i live in mountains, but i can see fjords everyday :D
Now i can see snow and fjords and night as well.
Hopefully,we can stay in touch all the best to you and your family.

All the best,

Marijus

I found WA back in the end of 2016, was just in time to catch a deal on Black Friday, which made it reasonably cheaper for me.

Good luck on WA and we can sure stay in touch. I can also write/speak Norwegian so if English is a problem, we can switch, just not in the public areas as this is an American site.

Steven, nice to hear from you. I look forward to getting to know you my new WA friend.

Looks like you have great goals. My partner was the senior technician at a company called Rainbow Power Co. They did all kinds of alternative energy solutions. He worked with all but his speciality was micro hydro. Solar was also part of his gig.

One suggestion, that you might already know, is if you do solar and you have some land then mount your panels on frames located on the ground. (Fence them in if you have inquisitive critters around.)

This gives you much better access than mounting them on the roof. Maintenance is so much easier.

I really expected to see a website already listed here as you must be very computer literate. How is it going?

Work hard, have some fun and don’t forget to ask questions (although you probably won't have many that I can answer!).
A very nice boss once told me, ‘Helen, when you ask a silly question everyone else breathes a collective sigh of relief because they don’t have to!’ And that is so true. No question is silly so ask away.

If I can’t help I might be able to point you in the right direction.
Now let us keep in touch.

Hi Helen,

Thank you for your long comment on my profile (and the follow back).

I might just do that with the on-ground mounts for the solar, but on the other hand I live in Norway with high mountains around us. The chance that there is less sun in the actual garden than on the top of the roof is rather big, especially during off-peak seasons. Then again, they tell us that we do not need full sun to get effect.

Yes I have many websites going, some are not really in production yet, some are. I have now finally listed them on the right-hand side for everyone to see.

Website technical I do not have that many questions, but of course is writing content for them a totally different story.

What an amazing story of your life on your profile btw. Was an interesting read.

We drive fully electric and the idea is that we also get fully solar at home with a battery to get us independent.

I know Canada as I have family living there, so was interesting to read about your Canada adventure. Got family in Vancouver and Grande Prairie, AB.

My wife is from Great Britain, so we got also plenty of family there. I myself am from The Netherlands and live in Norway. Just for the confusion ;-)

Good luck here, I will check out your website. Feel also free to ask for help!

Yes would love that. Hope to build a small one for hobby. But to build one that actually generates enough power would mean that I would need to make one high enough to get at constant windspeed. I don't think anyone in my neighbourhood nor any of environmental organisations would agree there.

Thanks for the quick help there. I was a bit confused about it all. I thought the pen icon was for writing WA blogs. And the chat is indeed a bit fastpaced. I hope they will change the design of that one sometime soon, it flips extremely much up/down and it is harder to follow than any other form of chat I am used to. Will see if there is a suggestions forum somewhere to post that to.

Hope you got any luck sofar Andi.

Hey Steven, I just wanted to check in and see if had a chance to start exploring Wealthy Affiliate. If you haven't started the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course - that's the best place to start. It'll take you through the whole process of how to start your website and how the making money stuff works.

Click the green"Get Started Here" button on the left.

PS. One thing people get stuck on a lot is picking a topic or "niche" for their website. If you are having trouble thinking of something to make your website about let me know and we can figure it out together.

PSS. Just about every new member wants to see some success stories! There are too many to list, but here are a few of my favorites:

Thank you Nathaniell. At first I was like...did I do wrong by following your posts and subscribing into WA, but now I start seeing why this is a great community and that it is actually real and not fake (There are too many fakes out there on the internet that ruin it for the real ones).

The topic/niche thing is definitely hard in the beginning. I thank you for the help you gave me already. Although I am a marketing manager originally, if you do not have the practice (daily) with this.. than this still is a difficult thing. I am slowly building trust in myself that I can do this.

And I am excited to see what more I will learn now that I have become a premium member.

Trust in yourself and the "system" really can be hard things to do, especially when you seem to be working and not seeing results. But results will come as long as you keep quality in mind along the way. Keep moving forward man, you already are off to a great start.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

No worries Steven :) I hope you've gotten a chance to meet a few people this weekend - if not, definitely stop by Live Chat in the next couple days. I think you'll really enjoy some of the great people we have in the community.

I have some troubles reading the chat. Perhaps its the way its formatted or the way it scrolls upwards/downwards? Its definitely different from the way we are used to chat...such as in messengers, whatsapp, telegram and the old classic IRC. I am not sure yet and haven't put more time into it at this point. But I will definitely use it in the coming days to start asking questions and answering others.

Chat is for everyone, so when it's busy, it tends to fly by. You just gotta jump in and if no one hears you the first time, try again. Sometimes if you laser in on someone you can corner them with a question LOL. Don't by shy!
