Steven's SWAG April 2019 Report
It was only a couple of days ago I gave you guys the February and March results, so as you figured the April report was going to come really fast afterwards and was probably not going to be an enormous result.
Goal for April
- Produce 2 blogposts for OOB.
April Result
While I managed to write the two posts in question, I didn't manage to do the stuff that is required to post a blog in time and so I published one blog on the last day of April and that brings the result for April at 1 blog for OOB.
There is 1 blog post waiting in line to be published, so that at least helps me for the goals for May.

Goals for May 2019
For May we can set the bar a little bit higher, but I learned from the past that aiming too high means nothing gets done at all. I am altering it numbers that should be possible to maintain.
- Publish at least 4 new blogs for OOB
- Publish at least 1 new blog for Cathabits
- Publish Podcast nr 2 for Cathabits
- Record Podcast nr 3 for Cathabits
- Continue writing content for OOB PDF's (to get subscribers) and OOB email sequence
- Figure out the self-branding story and start on documenting
Still pretty challenging goals, but I do have to push it a bit if I want to get something started and going for myself here.

Oh wow Steven! Thanks for sharing your progress.
You've been very busy! Good job and keep up the good hard work.
I'll be giving my report soon...
Monica
Hey Alan,
Here's a tip: Put them out on your WA blog. Then you have people that can keep you accountable here for your set goals.

SWIG SWAG SWUG? Sorry my urban dictionary searches aren't telling me clearly what you mean here -- does it mean 'swagger' 'hip' 'cool' 'loot' 'a piece of fabric? lol.
My main goal for may is to finish all the basic training from Kyle.
Always good to see goal oriented posts -- thanks for sharing!
Marc
Good goals there, Marc! Keep it coming. Do you also write them down here on the WA blog posts? It can help you in keeping yourself accountable.
A while back I wrote about setting goals (updated it today): Creating Measurable Goals Steven
Ps. SWAG stands for Super Wealthy Affiliate Group of the Super Wealthy Affiliate Challenge of Kyle that I joined a little under a year ago.
ah that's SWAG! Got it! I keep detailed goals for myself on a daily basis.
You're right, posting them in the blog is one way to hold oneself accountable although I think one's correct mindset can do that without social approval. However, if it works to keep one motivated, then it works :) cheers Marc
indeed. Also Kyle teaches us to actually blog useful content here on WA weekly.
That builds up WA so I imagine he would suggest it, and of course definitely do so as long as it doesn't detract from the other tasks of building our own businesses as well -- anyway that's my take!
I appreciate the discussion :) Marc
I suppose you are right that it is in Kyle's direct interest, but in the same time you are also able to earn referrals and commissions from that.
All your own created content on this platform that hasn't been linked with a referral code of someone else is automatically referring to your referral link/code.
So when you get visitors from outside WA reading your content (blogs, questions, training), and they decide to become a member of WA when the popup appears, the cookie has been saved and you get the credit.
WA content is very much able to rank, especially when you apply the SEO rules we learn here.
Steven
Yes, I agree -- especially valid to maintain a WA blog for the sake of marketing WA!
I suppose the cookie is only saved as long as the person reading it has saved their cookies on their machine.
Sometimes people wonder why they lose a referral to someone else, but it's probably the fact that the new member still had the cookie from whatever person he started with as he looked into WA. He had never deleted the cookie!
Marc
Yeah I still wonder about that mechanic. I should probably ask Carson about it.
we are discussing it here, too How to add an AWeber email signup form to your Wordpress website
