We all make mistakes, but we can learn from others' mistakes. I am hoping that some of you good WA entrepeneurs can shed some insight on any mistakes you may have made in your

Through this journey so far, just as others have made mistakes, so have I. I am not going to point out individual mistakes but would rather defer to understanding what went off kilter on the ones that were made. Did I learn from them? Absolutely.

Now armed with the knowledge on how to do things better, already the thoughts of starting another site are in the works. Better thought out, better use of the tools available, format, layout, etc...

Glad for all the mistakes that were made, but, even happier for this community coming together for their various ways of assisting to make everything better.

For me, the biggest mistake(s) are not having more patience and trust in the abilities of what is learned. Waiting for the results to kick into high gear is a torment on the psyche and not giving up seems to take an eternity.

Thanks for the insight.

One mistake I've made and I just started was picking a niche really quickly because I was excited. I just picked something super fast so I could start the website. Once I had it and my website was almost done, I realized I didn't really want to use that topic. I'm not that great at it and don't know too much about it. I chose acrylic painting and I'm good at it but I'm not good at educating others on how to do it and I don't really want to teach others. I just want to paint only. It was kind of taking the fun out of it. I'm also not very good at asking the right questions. If someone was right next to me waking me through it, I'd know the right questions because they would be looking at it with me. It gets confusing and all the verbage is new to me. Knowing how to coffee would be ideal.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I think that I made that same mistake recently. I chose a niche too quickly, bought the domain, started building the website, and then realized I have no idea what kind of content to add to it so now I am kind of stuck.

Keywords really are important in more ways than you think. Yes they help you focus, yes they are good for the title, but they are also needed for descriptions, tags, and maybe title enhancements if you wanted to use them that way. So get the good ones and really use the extra trainings to learn how and where to fully deck out your blogs correctly.

Can a web page have too many keywords in its metadata? I understand that quality is more important than quantity for keywords, but is there a good range for the number? I have

Keyword stuffing can be a really bad thing and give the opposite effect because Google doesn't like that. I try to focus on just one per post. Sometimes I just write "for fun" posts, too, that don't target any keyword, but show more of a personal side of me.

Best wishes,

You are most welcome. I think those "for fun" posts help us to connect with our readersā€”as long as it isn't too far "off base". :)

Have fun!

In his training, Jay (magistudios) says to focus on one keyword phrase per blog post.
