This advice is critical. We can not provide for our families if we do not take care of ourselves.
Self Care ensures that we live a longer, healthier and balanced lives. It also drastically improves our productivity and our mental health which is very important. This therefore improves our ability to provide for ourselves and loved ones.
Some easy tips I have implemented in my self care routine are:
1) Taking at least 5 minutes of uninterrupted personal time each day to relax and clear my mind.

2) Rewarding myself with a small treat at the end of the work week or even doing something that I love(painting and photography)
3) Find time to exercise at least once a week. I choose to walk or jog in a nearby park.
4) Finally I make a conscious effort to only surround myself with positive persons.
However, don’t forget the second part of the advice..which is to help others. We can do so by being by small acts of kindness or simply just being a listening ear to our friends and family.
