What do you see?
What do you see?
I am likely to get the following responses:
1. The glass is half filled
2. The glass is half empty
3. The glass is filled with water to the middle
The above is the reason why we blog. To communicate our view. That view also gives us some perspective but it may not always tell us the true picture.
“The optimist sees the glass as half full, the pessimist as half empty. What I see is water that can save someone's life.”

Words are the currency online. Your website will be:
- ranked using words
- searched using words
- engaging your audience through words
- convincing buyers with words
Sure, video is the rage now...
But a video need to also have words of the meaning of the video is subject to interpretation and the true meaning of the video will never be known.
Let's take the example of the picture of the glass. If you video that, it will be a fairly still image and we will be left to decide what that means...
If someone narrates...
“And besides, we’re not really all that different. Although I think I’m a little more . . . ”
“What?”
“Optimistic.” She nudged him with her shoulder. “You’re Eeyore.”
He blinked. “You think I’m Eeyore?”
“You tell me. I take my empty glass and try to fill it up with what happiness I can find. Friends, family, my work. . . And then there’s you.”
He raised a brow. “Me.”
She nudged him again, looking playful and damn sexy while she was at it. It was the short shorts with the boots, he decided. Or everything. It was everything.
“You take that empty glass,” she said, happily analyzing him. “And you wonder what the heck to do with it. You don’t need the glass, you don’t have time for the glass. Hell, you’ll just drink from a spigot if you get thirsty. And in any case, there’s probably another one up the road if that one runs out, so—”

Therefore, there is power in what you write. Your content for your niche makes a difference to your audience.
Some here may say....but we are not experts.
None of us are at one point in time. Some of us made the decision to do it... and get better as we move on.
I have written more than 20,000 words since joining WA, slightly more than 2 months ago. Never written so much in my life!
I see my engagement here as, "iron sharpens iron."
I think I am getting better. Hope all of you are learning as much as me.

Hi Stanley,
I love this! " A blog is only as interesting as the interest shown in others". ,What a learning tool for better blogs.
Thank you
Nicola
The pen is a mighty tool. It can be a blessing or a curse. Wich one is up to each of one of us.
A Buddhist monk once said, "The voice does the Buddha's work." How we feel, our attitude, our life conditions are communicated through our voices. And in the similar way, we can connect to people through our words!
Thanks for sharing!
Everybody has their own opinion and as far as that goes they're all going to be different anyhow but it's those that analyze and overthink that will inevitably will write something wrong or boring but still will get great reviews in my opinion it's a glass of water I'm thirsty so I want to drink it.
