Thoughtful Thursday
While I was preparing about what to write on my Thursday blog, the following thoughts were going through my mind.
What is Thursday to most people?
Is Thursday the new Friday?
Is it the best day of the week? Or the worse?
What happens on Thursday?
Then came @jules73 blog post on World Kindness Day, not today but yesterday November 13.
I was reflecting on what she wrote and on kindness and what it means. It also reminded me of an article I read about a quoted, “Think it through Thursday.”
So,,, the thought popped up and here we are...
Thoughtful Thursday!
What Are Your Thoughts Today?
What's on your mind? What are you thinking? Are you...
- Thinking about the weekend
- Thinking about the new movie release
- Thinking about happy hours
- Thinking about work
Many thoughts go through our minds every day.
On a Thursday, after going through mid week, you now go downhill and peaking up momentum.
I can imagine one looking forward to the weekend and therefore getting ready to relax, chilled out or even working harder to finish off the tasks and work so you can get to the weekend faster.
Think about these instead
“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”
- Leo Buscaglia
In the spirit of kindness, may I suggest the following thoughts this Thursday.
- Cook your family a nice meal
- Say something nice to someone
- Gives someone a helping hand
- Be the best friend you can be
- Lend a listening ear
- Invite a friend or relative for lunch
- Hold the door for people behind you
- Give up your seat on the train or bus to someone needs it more
- Say “Pease”, “Thank You” and “Excuse Me”
- Allow the person with a few items of groceries to go first
These are all random little acts of kindness we all can do. If you have a bigger act of kindness in mind, go do it.
Take Action On Your Thoughts
In the WA spirit of Paying It Forward...
When you offer to help, don’t say, “If there is anything I can do, just call” because most of the time they will not call you. Instead, follow up on your offer by contacting them personally to offer your assistance.
Don't just think, do.
Take action on your thoughts.
What I learn here at WA?
By blogging, I am taking action by sharing my thoughts that could help someone in their journey.
What action will you take this thoughtful Thursday?
I do hope you will take some time to be kind...
“Kindness in words creates confidence,
Kindness in thinking creates profoundness,
Kindness in giving create love.”
- Lao Tze

My daughter's school just did a week of kindness. Each day they were asked to do a different act of kindness towards other students. Doesn't hurt to spread some kindness! Great post, thank you!
