Getting Started

I have been here (on and off) since 2019 and I got to level 3.5 in OEC. I would love some motivational tips to get me back on track.
Thank you so much

Hi Natalie,

If your niche has to do with Super foods, I can see by your website you have barely scratched the surface. That should be an inexhaustible topic. You can break it down into each separate super food, one by one. You could do comparisons. You could do health benefits and cover every aspect. You could get into how to grow your own. Its endless what you can write about.

Mel

Thank you for the help Mel. Yes I realise I don't have much but I did get caught up in the training timeline and struggled with reviews and then just flaked. I am feeling much better after reading many blogs today and more motivated and confident to get moving again.

Hi Natalie,

I hope you are well.

In terms of motivational tips, I would say that the thing to remember is that the overriding concept of how to build a successful website is actually quite simple:

a) find great, low competition search phrases, questions or keywords and then;

b) write really helpful posts that answers the question/provides the information the searcher is looking for etc.

Then repeat, repeat, repeat.

The more posts you can write, the more traffic your site will get and ultimately it's traffic that drives the cash.

Personally, I think the biggest stumbling block that many people don't get over, is the fact that you need to keep writing great posts consistently over a decent period of time, before you start to see growth in traffic.

And it's during that period of time, where people are working hard but not seeing any real results, that many people give up.

There's a post somewhere from Kyle that says something like, 'the only way you can fail at this business is by giving up' and I believe he is correct.

If you can get into a routine of writing content and keep in mind that success will come, but it will take a little time, then that approach will hopefully keep you going through the early stages where it's so easy to become disheartened.

Also, I think a key factor of the WA platform is that you are not alone on this journey as there are so many other people trying to achieve the same thing as you. I think the genuine community spirit that exists here definitely is something we can all lean on if we are feeling de-motivated or disillusioned - we all go through periods like that and knowing that others have felt the same or have faced similar challenges to what we are currently facing can often be all we need to know to keep ourselves going.

So motivation wise:

Know that you can 100% be successful

Remember that there's a great bunch of people here that want you to succeed and will help you to get there.

All you need to do, is follow the training and then apply it consistently over time.

Hope the above helps!

Best wishes
John

PS - 'Spotty Banana' is a brilliant profile name!

Hi John
Thank you so much for your time to encourage. You have encouraged me to try to come up with more content, however, I was starting to think that my lack of ideas could be due to a terrible niche site. ... or could also be just a tad of negative thinking. Either way, I will give it a good crack!
Thanks again,
Nat

ps and thanks for liking my profile name!

I agree with Abie, You would be wise to start again, because there might have been some improvements since then!

Jeff

Thanks Jeff. I must be honest and starting training again from scratch is not too appealing to me. Basically because I have come as far as I have come and I have implemented all up to level 3.5. I will glance over the training and refresh a little bit though. I guess I just needed a bit of a push to get into it all again.
Thanks

You know best, it was just a suggestion! Best success to you!

Jeff

Yes thank you, I do appreciate that you took your time to help me. I kinda want to hit the ground a bit faster.... but as you say that's because I know myself. I remember following and chatting to you over the years. You probably don't remember me.
Thank you for being here still as support and inspiration.
I appreciate you!

Thanks for the kind words, Natalie, and best success to you moving forward, my friend!

Jeff

Don't know how much can you remember, but it is okay to start from the beginning, you an untick what you have done and redo it you like. Totally up to you here. As long as you are progressing and achieving, that's most important.

hmmmm yeah, stopped progressing and stopped achieving! Just need to get the flow happening again.

Thanks so much for that... I will keep that in mind.
