WA site support just saved me!
I've got a new site I've been working on this weekend. About a half-hour ago I was experimenting with themes. I could only try a few from my site customizer so I went to Build Your Site and selected one to try.
It completely re-built my site and erased my previous pages! Yikes!! I should have known!
Yes, I'm an idiot for doing that...I'm used to trying out themes and it always leaves my posts and pages and for some dumb reason I thought the builder would just put another theme for me to waffle over.
Anyway, I sent a support ticket in and 10 minutes or less later I had my hard work back!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, WA Site Support...you really ROCK!!

I am just curious whether if you went back to your previous theme everything would have shown up again?
I tried and my pages didn't show up...everything was 'hello world'.
I think it erased what I had and rebuilt a new site with the new theme.
You should always without exception download and save a copy of your site.
I save 2 or 3 times a week just in case.
If you don't know how to its simplicity itself - just do an Export.
Enjoy your day/evening everyone.

You're absolutely right...I'm just now starting to 'save draft' every few minutes after another glitch ( or screw-up) a few months back.
From now on I'm saving everything!
I actually meant I save a full copy of my site to my desktop then if anything happens I might lose one article/blog but thats all and I always keep a copy of my articles/blogs anyway so no great loss.
Do a full export is my advice then you are certain sure you have everything that was on your site.
Its just a suggestion but it makes sense to me.

No probs - safe now than sorry later springs to mind.
I'm going to sign off now as its getting late.

Site Rubix is the reason I am still a member of wealthy affiliate. They do a very basic job extremely well. And they save me from thinking about it. For the complicated stuff I use Host Gator which has much better technical support but for a simple restores and stuff like that wa comes through well and they can generally execute faster.
Yes, I have been rescued by the WA community several times as well. So glad it worked out for you.

That was lucky and great that they could do it and your hard labour is intact. Also good to backup at least once a week, just in case...
