Great eCommerce Platform to Eclipse Walmart!
Good Monday Morning, All!
Ecommerce is continuing to explode with Amazon, eBay and Walmart in the lead. Does it surprise you that Amazon is right behind Walmart?
The growth of Amazon is predicted to eclipse the world's most successful retailer, Walmart. Amazon has a huge customer base, credibility and trust. Their Prime members even have a very large food pantry with a very good selection. (I checked it out and was surprised to find the Amazon Prime Pantry has a generous selection of the world's finest coffee and Coffee Mate creamer too.) .As a Prime member, groceries arrive within two days without the expedited fees. If you partner with them, they have back end infrastructure and support including tax collection and shipping.
eBay is a excellent platform for those purchasing and selling antiques and is on a consistent slow steady rise in the ecommerce world. eBay is working toward providing easier and more user friendly access for all venues with millions of customers world wide.
Business Insider provides the following statistics:
Amazon 2014 - 2015 $17.94B in revenue for the fiscal year
eBay 2014 - 2015 $ 9.15B in revenue for the fiscal year
The fiscal year is January through December.
In conclusion, there is only one thing to say, Look Out Walmart . . . Here comes Amazon!

We are in infancy stages of ecommerce, the right place (WA) and the right time, Katie. Thanks for reading and for the "like". Bunny
Wow! I had no idea! I'm an Amazon Prime member, mostly to get the free shipping and to get eBooks for free or a substantial discount and I also get DVD's, but I have really never looked around in there to see what else they have to offer.

Dennis, Hi!
Hope you are having a great start to your week. I believe you need to google Prime Pantry to access the site. They also have a program where you can purchase an app on your cell for $10/mo that scans barcodes. You can use this at outlet stores to scan barcodes and it will tell you the price Amazon sells it for. Profit margins can be 1000% sometimes! If you find it in bulk, Amazon will purchase from you!!!
Thank you for your kind words and happy Monday! Bunny
Sweet! Thanks! I live in Alaska, so I think Amazon's prices will probably be cheaper on nearly everything, but I'm not sure about the shipping. I'll check it out. I'm very grateful for the information.
If you are a Prime member in the lower 48, shipping is 2-day express and no charge for shipping. You may have to contact them about AK! I remember the cost of everything was sooooo inflated. Milk and bread frozen. Hope it is a feasible less costly endeavor for you. Shipping will be the killer! Good Luck! Bunny
Nice post and it's definitely a fight for the top spot and I am sure they will change spots thru the course of time.
Thank you TJ for reading my post. Who knows what the future holds. One thing we can count on is change! Cheers, Bunny
