Pinterest Pin Questions!
I have been following Jay's teaching last month on Pinterest and I have learned a lot! I can also see how Pinterest is really going to help me with getting the traffic that I need.
Last week, the lesson Jay presented was on promoting pins. I promoted two of mine and I am happy with the results (because any result would be good for me!)
My questions are:
- How do I analyze the results?
- How do I know if I should continue to promote a certain pin over another?
- How do I know which pins to try next?
- The promotion of one of my pins finished this morning. Why did I only spend just over $5.90 when I promoted it for $7 in the week?

Hi Karen, those results are awesome. $5.90 to promote a pin and end up the results you got is pretty awesome. On the far left is your analytics when you are in pinterest, which I am sure you are familiar. If you are getting a lot of promotions on a certain pin, I would promote it. Personally I have several pins in my account and I try one for a week, and perhaps another one for the next. See which ones are doing the best.

Thank you! I don't feel like I know what I am doing or looking at. LOL I feel like the promotion was a success, but I don't know what numbers I should be looking for. I guess at this stage, anything is better than nothing.
I need a lesson on reading analytics!

Hi Karen, you are doing good. If you go to training within the WA dashboard, click on training. When you are there type, Pinterest analytics in that search bar, and you will find a bunch of great tutorials on understanding Pinterest analytics.

I thought it was great too, but I am just starting and was wondering how to analyze it. Even if it isn't that good, for me it is great! lol It is a start. I want to promote more, but was wondering how to pick out my next pin or to re-promote one of these pins.
With the analytics you've listed here, if you wanted to re-promote I'd choose option 1. The reason being that you paid less, got almost the same amount of clicks and more than double the saves. All that with less half the impressions you got from option 2. Imagine the amount of clicks and saves you would have if you had even more impressions on option 1!

Yes, I was thinking about re-promoting that one as well. I have a couple similar that I am thinking about running and see how they do too.
