Proofread Your Site
I promised myself, as of January 1st, I would provide feedback and comments for at least one site a day, it's become part of my checklist when I log into WA. One thing I am constantly stating in my feedback is that the website needs to be proofread. We all make mistakes, I know I do, but I find it so important that we should try and minimize, if not eliminate the mistakes on our site.
I can tell you that I myself will actually move on from a website if I find too many spelling and grammatical errors, it just seems to irk me. My sister and I have a deal, she reviews my site on a regular basis, I give her gift certificates so that she can play her online games, fair trade.
I know there have been blogs on this subject already posted, but a little reminder never hurts.
Hey, I may have just found a niche for a new website, something to think about!
Cheers, Sylvie ;)

Good one. You caneed still make mistakes even with proof reading. So I think it's a great idea you proof read with your sister's help.
Proofreading - cool but did you know that if you use one program and then check it with another there can still be a mistake???
I can see why, just between the US and Canada there are a number of words that are spelled differently, I still prefer the old fashioned way of actually reading it. My sister loves it, she gets her gift certificates :)
Paul: Mistakes are inevitable. Just look at you and me! There is not an equal distribution of beauty and brains in this world and if there were we would still quibble over the equalness (sic) of it. But let's all try to be accurate. lol DAN

Sylvie: I agree with you 100%. I recommend that all WAers install a free program called Grammarly.com. It is great. It will tell you (as you type your blog) if you are using the wrong word, have misspelled a word, you have used improper grammar, and will correct your punctuation. It is easy to use. It just follows you as you type. I highly recommend it to everyone at WA
Thanks for that. I have added Grammarly. I'm a big stickler for proofreading also, but sometimes we can miss our own mistakes. Perhaps it's from reading over our writing too much that we become "blind", or in my case, sometimes old age kicks in and for the life of me can't think of an alternative word to use. They call that disease CRS I think !
I hear you Lightworker, I suffer from both, old age and 'being blind' to the words, that's why I have a buddy system with my sister, she reads my site on a regular basis and I buy her gift cards, it's a win win :)
