Realistically, how likely are members of WA to succeed? I understand that it all depends on how much time and effort one is willing to put into this. But I'd like to hear from those who are honestly working hard at it. How long did it take you to begin to make some sort of a dent in your dream income?

Hey Solarlc3

That is a good question. When i first joined here i asked that very question to myself.
I have been here nearly 3 months now and I could not find any answer to that so what i did next is find as much information as i can. So i began reading a lot of blogs and how they made money.

And after that,
I did manage to make money within a first month of joining here.

And here is how?-------

At this point i had burned about $5000 looking into opportunities online and i was a newbie in online world. All i knew was how ebay worked cause i had a business store there.

What i discovered was every blog i visited people had different strategy on how they earn their money online? Not a single person followed one rule. So i thought that is wierd and collected many tiny details reading blogs of different people. Like presentation of website, content style, monetization, how are they keeping all those readers interested with their blogs and all.

Then i started to make few twigs here and there and wrote a few content and still adding to this date.

Always remember how you came here. This is a big question to ask yourself. Whether or not you can repeat how you got introduced to WA.

Since my website did not had any traffic for the first week and i needed the traffic quickly what i did was opened up a facebook page, google profile, twitter for the website and linked all of them together that pulled in few traffic to my website.

Most of the people focus on google and forget about yahoo and bing so i setup with them as well and got few traffic from there.
Mind you careful with yahoo answers.

In addition to that, i uploaded few videos in youtube, vimeo, and got few traffic from there as well. The best thing that i did was to capture email address and name of the people who visited to my website so that i can email them like once a week or two. You can do that with mailchimp and it is free.

What i found in myself after a month or two is that i am trying my own strategy? Which i did not realized at the time of applying it? So i started to think and build strategy and applied them some of them worked some didn't. With the one that worked i really put serious work in it.

And want to point this again, Look at the strategy used of how you came here.

PS: When you are making your own strategy make sure you are giving some valuable information to the buyers?

Trust is everything.

There is a lot of hard work ahead of you but if you work cleverly you will get success in future.

Hope this helps you.

Cheers

BTW, thanks for the follow. Good luck.

I was curious about that also, however I figure it really depends on how soon your website if setup properly and you have good content, enough to draw many visitors to your site - that may take a while.

I am afraid there is no equation that can tell you when you will succeed or make any money at any business venture you put your efforts into
My experience of this type of thinking is called "chasing the money syndrome"
Its a bit like chasing butterfly's, the best way to catch a butterfly is to stand still and they will land on you
To create an income with a website you must add value to you readers and solve their problems, focus on adding value in your niche and the income will follow
Income from websites is an outcome of adding value not the other way round

When I stated I was very overwhelmed by all that I have to read and go through. I was not even aware if I am a good writer or not. forget about internet language now this is going to be my third months.

I have not made a dime yet but I have proven to myself that I am a goog writer because about 10 of my articles in cluding one of my website is on the first page of google. I have also managed to come from the high rank to number 35 now and have more than 760 followers.

I have meet good friends here at WA and am enjoying it being here.

Have two website one I just bought my own domain the other day.

SO I do not know how long will I have to wait to make even a $, but I am not going to give as I enjoy writing.

That is my true and honest strory.

I hope you will enjoy being here as well.
So long.

I have not got my site live yet, but I am making sure I understand what settings I need to have and what Google expects as well as other necessary and important factors to make sure I get the results I am looking for.

How long do you expect to be "under construction?" Ideally I would like to make at least $47.00 to cover my next membership payment. I'm wondering how likely that is?

I want to try and get done within the next week, at least that is my goal.
