Write your post in Word

I have just connected with a member here at Wealthy Affiliate and managed to help her out, quite by accident, so thought I would share it with everyone here.

I often write my posts on Word. I use Word a lot and find it easier to write my posts there then I just copy and past them into my website. This can be really helpful if you don't have access to the internet all the time. By using Word, or some other similar software, you can still prepare posts without being online.

Hope this is of help to some of you.

Enjoy life and be happy.

Thanks, That is a good idea as our internet does not always work here.

Hi Sharon and that is a great thing to share because I am not able to do anything at all on mt site for the past few days due to connection slow down but at lease this way will have everything ready so good post and thank you - best regards Paul

No problem. Glad I can help as I receive so much help here from everyone else.

I will most definitely be doing this from now on. Spent 3 hrs last night writing up my review of Wealthy Affiliate for Lesson 8 in Bootcamp. I clicked "DONE" and the next page said, "ERROR NO DATA RECEIVED". My review was gone, OUCH

I just find it easier and more user friendly as I use word regularly. I have lots of saved files with drafts and notes then just copy and paste when ready. It's worked for me so far.

Thankyou, don't want that to happen again.

Totally, I use MS Word and Excel for everything, cheers!

No problem. Glad I can help as I get so much help here.

Hi Sharon. You are so right about writing your article in Word (sounds like a pun) but I find it the only way to go and then copy and paste. You can make corrections and get it all (that is the text portion)ready for website pages or articles to WA community. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Sharon,

I sometimes will write in MS Word, but when I'm finished and run the spell-checker on it, I'll copy it into Notepad just prior to copying again to the WordPress editor. The thing is this, there are hidden HTML tags that get copied from Word and can slow down your page load speeds.

Just a thought.

Thanks for that. I don't really know much about HTML so any advice is appreciated.

Hi Pj, do you mean that if I do the W to N to W the HTML hidden tags will desappear?
