Hi there Gopika, I struggled with this too.

I'm from South Africa. Even though Amazon seems to make provision for people from other countries on that confirmation call page it still kept giving me errors.

When I researched online about this the only suggestion I found that worked for me was to get a US number from an Android smartphone app called "TextNow".

You can download this app from Google Play Store if you have an android smartphone.

I hope this helps?

Thanks! I will try it and let you know if it works :)

:( didn't work, textnow says: "At this time your country is not supported. "

Hey Gopika,

I had to make well over 5 attempts before FINALLY getting my number verified. It is very frustrating to say the least.

Once you’ve tried 10 times consecutively and been unsuccessful, then I would recommend that you sign into your Amazon Associate account, find their contact phone number an speak directly to one of their tech support for help.

You are not the only one complaining about this issue. I truly thought they would have resolved this by now.

Hope you find this helpful.

oh, so it's not a problem of my french number, ok. I will try and try. Weird that amazon has this happening and not fixing it. Thanks!

WOOHOO! it worked today at the first attempt :)

Yeeaaaaaah... guess their keeping an "eye out" for their business name being mentioned on internet platforms IS working then, huh. :-))

I am thinking about upgrading but I need to know if jaaxy is acurate when doing research for spanish words since my content is in spanish.

I would reach out to Kyle via wealthyaffiliate.com/contact to ask this question. I'm not sure anyone here in the community can answer that with any degree of certainty.

Thanks. I just send the question and will let you know here what they reply.

My feeling is, because it's math, it should work in any language, but I could be wrong, and they would definitely know.

Hi, I would like to know if adding Blubrry PowerPress Podcasting Plugin to my website will be the better option to host my podcast for free.

Yes, I've used it before and it worked well!

However, I didn't like the player style very much. It was boring and looked out of date. But I used it about 4 years ago, so I'm not sure if it has any new developments. Worked fine though.

I used Libsyn to host my podcasts BTW.

Good question and I hope someone knows the answer! Podcasts are gaining in popularity.

Email Marketing

Hi, is anybody here using the ASK method by Ryan Levesque for your email marketing?
Is it possible to find the templates for free somewhere?

not I
Jerry

Jay did a few live video classes on email marketing recently. In one of them, when someone asked for templates of working emails, he recommended that you create them yourself, using your own voice (that is your way of writing not talking).

Thanks David.
Yes, of course, to be your self is key to build a relationship with your list. I'm looking for the templates to understand more about the Ask method and implement it myself. I don't want to copy it.

I am not familiar with that. I would suggest that you do a google search to see if that helps you to find that template for free, assuming of course, that you have not done that already. :)

There is "gogetter" training here, and Bo (WA member Botipton) who develops it suggests a formula for writing blogs, which may be applicable to emails as well:

1. State the problem
2. State the benefit
3. Show the benefit
4. Ask for the sale

Hope this helps.

Thanks David.
about the ask method: "The basic idea is very simple: You are just guessing what your customers actually want, right now and in the future. So perhaps it’s time you asked them what they want.
According to Levesque, the way to check is to put them through a series of surveys.
Their answers to these survey questions will enable you to put your customers into groups.
When you have those groups, you can better tailor your product/service packages to these groups."

Interesting. Sounds like a lot of work. You are going to have to find a number of people willing to do those surveys, assume that the responses are pretty accurate and then do the emails that are pretty much aimed at the person who is in your market. I am sure that it really depends on the products/services that you are marketing.

In my opinion, I think that most people wouldn't have the time to do the survey by email, so you might be alienating people who might become paying customers if you ask them to do a survey. At this stage, I ignore any survey requests, no matter what the source, unless it is a source I already know well and it is not going to take up a lot of time.

There is a way to make it much simple and natural than just surveys. Is like small conversations with your customers.
I've found few good examples.

Hi, I want to turn my videos into mp3 files to start a podcast. Is there any free tool to do this?

Thanks!

Have you tried this one? This is an online tool, no need for download of software or installation to PC.

https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com

This is the one I often use.

A free tool I have used is Zamzar I believe.

I do this with YouTube videos especially when I want to put songs on MP3... I Google it: YouTube to MP3

And it gives me free online sites where I can do it from there without downloading anything. But those sites have many pops up sometimes, you have to close opening windows often.

I don't know if it is the best option in your case, but maybe it is worth checking.

Thanks but I think this is not what I need.

Freemake Audio Converter. It's free, it works. Just take care when you install as it may come with PUPs (potentially unwanted programs).

Thanks Marion. Is only free for 3 minutes :(

Sorry, I've got more sophisticate software that I use, I didn't realize there was a restriction. Try Audacity (it's free). You may have to download the codecs to make it work (the codecs are free too).

Which one do you use? I guess is paid one, is it worth to pay for it? Can you edit videos in all formats and then convert them to audio? I want to find a good option, I don't mind to pay for it if it's helping me in all what I need.

I use Camtasia Studio for my videos. It's way beyond what you need to convert video to audio. Try Audacity. https://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/

Thanks Marion, I will try audacity.

I'm starting to do video content and a youtube chanel, I use the free version software VideoPad to edit but only allows me to dowload videos in AVI format. For now I'm uploading the avi and then I in VLC media player I convert into mp3 for a podcast.
All these free softwares are ok for now but Im considering the paid version to have all what I need in one place.

I forgot about VLC Media Player. I used that once to convert from one format to another. DUH!

Hi, Gopika. Isn't MP3 just voice?

Yes, that's what I need: turn the video into an audio file.

Oh, Ok. There are quite a few free converters. Do a search on Google for free converters. I am sure you will get a suitable one.
Hennie

Which one you suggest? I'm doing google research and I cannot find any free one, all are paid.

Give me a sec. Will get back to you

There are some free trials but you can only use one time.

Here is a link:

https://www.apowersoft.com/video-to-mp3
I have used both before

Hope it helps
Hennie

Thanks Hennie, but they add a "water mark" at the beginning so I cannot use the converted file for a podcast.

Sorry Gopika. I tried :-(

:)

you can use a program like winamp or VLC media player to export audio from the files.

How can I convert VLC files to mp3?
To just keep the audio (music) of video files using VLC Media Player:
Click on Media > Convert/Save [CTRL + R].
Click on Add.
Browse and open your video file.
Click on Convert/Save.
Under Settings, in Profile choose Audio – MP3.
Hit Browse and give a destination file name.
Click Start.

Thank you so much Steven!

It works! Simple, smooth :)
