I see people asking about Yoast all the time. I personally love it and it has helped me tremendously. I always recommend giving it a try, you can always switch back if you don't like it. I love it so much I made a tutorial on how to use the Yoast sitemap and I am planning to make more Yoast tutorials.

I don't have any experience but want to see the feedback you get to your question and I see that you have already received some great comments. Thanks for asking the question.

I changed back from Yoast (premium) to All-in-One SEO (free) as have some other members and we are now seeing much better ranking results, lots of page 2-3 listings going to page 1.

I've also found SEO Framework https://wordpress.org/plugins/autodescription/ gets better ranking results than even AIOSEO but it's less user-friendly at the moment.

As Joost the owner of Yoast has stated, "no SEO plugin makes more than 10% difference to your results", as Wordpress in itself is now very SEO friendly. Yoast however is actually one of the worst performers in regard to getting you a higher ranking in search engine results.

Yoast is incredibly popular because of the interactive feedback, but this is really nothing more than ticking an automated checklist that you could easily do yourself from a sheet of paper, it has no effect in itself on ranking. In fact, there are far better tools than Yoast for ensuring that your text is formatted and optimised to get the very best search engine results (especially as Yoast have moved many features from the free to the paid version). For example, Web Text Tool https://app.webtexttool.com/#/register-free provides much greater in-depth analysis of on-page SEO.

I'd recommend members looking to achieve the highest possible rankings stick with AIOSEO!

What about this:

I don't think the member is active, or I would suggest you ask them yourself!

However, having just glanced at that post, Jason is raving about the interactive feedback available in Yoast, which I already addressed in my comment above.

thank you...so much

No probs. you're most welcome! :)

It's a little bit confusing. Maybe the community has to be updated about this. As of now, I'm using Yoast and I like it when I'm writing due to readability and SEO as I see it in the WordPress dashboard.

If you want to use Yoast, do so, Jay @magistudios does. However, just be aware that it is the worst of all the SEO plugins as far as ranking goes, so if you find you're stuck on page 2-3 with most of your content, know that this may be one of the reasons why, and try switching to AIOSEO or SEO Framework.

This is the reason why WA core training recommends and pre-installs AIOSEO instead of Yoast.

I usually advise the community of not having unnecessary plugins not recommended on the lessons but I was the one now doing it. I will observe this for how many days and see what benefit will it bring but I will surely be using AIOSEO again. I believe in your experience and in the reason why it is recommended at the very beginning of lessons.
