Safety! security! success!
A friend and meighbor who was a very successful entrepreneur once said to me: "The only real security you have in life is the security you make for yourself."
At the time he said this to me I was putting together some plans and actions to become self employed. I was tired of the corporate life and wanted a major change in my life. Also at the time my friend said this, it resonated with me and sank deep into my soul and I thought about it frequently in the twenty one years I was in business. It became my motivator and reminder that for me it was true. There was never any safety or security in the corporate world, and I certainly didn't like either the problems or the politics.
I had always wanted a website for my business but it never happened. Now I am back in a similar business but I don't have to travel 30,000 to 40,000 miles per year, but I do have to write 30,000 to 40,000 words and my website is under construction and I am excited!
In order to enjoy success, I found the following qualities were essential:
Have a VISION of what you want to accomplish --- have it firmly fixed in your mind.
Have a PLAN to accomplish it through goals and objectives.
FOCUS on your plan. Have daily increments and objectives to help you accomplish your PLAN!
DEVELOP a good work ethic to achieve your PLAN. WORK your tail off!
Don't PROCRASTINATE! Make each moment count. MANAGE your time wisely!
I am sure there are many more we could list! I hope my observations of my own business has been helpful!

Great post Michael I struggle a lot with procrastination and over thinking things so I'll have to nail that one!
With practice and good content you will be able to stop the procrastination able to succeed.

Very true Michael. A friend of mine told me the other day that I could do anything I put my mind to. Of course I’ve heard that saying before but since starting with WA, I’ve really felt strength in those words. This blog had that same affect when I read it. Thanks for sharing. :)
