I won't lie ...

This is definitely not my style ...

Sometimes I just need a good steak ...

However, there are millions of people all over the world who gave up meat for the sake of eating a vegan diet.

And according to several sources ...

  • the huge vegan diet niche it's worth more than $3 billion dollars and still growing
  • there are more than 18 million vegetarians in the US only
  • the number of vegans has increased more than 3.5 times over the past decade
  • 42% of all vegans are in the 15-34 age category
  • 14% are over 65
  • 88% of vegans live in urban or suburban areas

The Google Trends charts are showing a steady demand ...

... and an entirely vegan world:

And no wonder, Mr. jaaxy gave me 39,342 AVG monthly searches for "vegan".

Needless to say, there are countless micro-niches involved: vegan cakes, vegan gluten free recipes, vegan stores, vegan cookobooks, vegan diet plans, vegan meals, vegan weight loss, vegan diet pills, geo-specific vegan diets, vegan diets for children or different age demographics, vegan gifts, vegan pills, proteins and vitamins, etc.

And of course, an avalanche of affiliate products. I found 90,000 vegan items only on Amazon.

My conclusion

Many abstain from animal products because they find factory farming cruel and inhumane. Others believe that animal agriculture destroys the environment. Some simply view veganism as a healthy diet. Other will become vegans for environmental reasons.

The point: it seems to be another evergreen niche with tens of millions of people eating their way into a new, healthier ... and quite expensive lifestyle.

Jennifer too many puns in one post :)

Vegan food for thought :)

You know what I did not even realise that I did that, lol

I know, I know,

I did not even realise that I had done that.
lol

I know, I know, sorry for being a bit silly about it!

It's all good

I loathe the way animals are treated pre-slaughter which was the main reason I became a vegan, when I say vegan I mean vegetarian, when I say vegetarian I mean I eat the occasional salad.. OK so it might come with a steak but I do get where vegans are coming from and empathise with their plight, veganism is growing and is a potentially massive market, something to think about thanks Zed.

Thanks for the time and the input Alan!

Seems a lot of people are going vegan and I am sure that trend will grow. Thanks for the share Zed

Thanks for the time and the feedback!

Like you, I must admit I like a good steak, but I wouldn't let that get in the way of joining a profitable niche!
Thanks for the information.
Justin

Once again, I agree :)

Veganism is becoming more and more popular, so this niche should see great growth going forward.

I agree!

Thanks for the time my friends!

Hey Zed, this niche sounds great, i think this will be the best for me after having finished the training with my current site, I just love the fact that there are more products in amazon so this means i can create more and more of product reviews, It is all about researching.

Great Blog my man.

Thanks for the time and the feedback!

I don't like the way animals are treated before they become food, either, but I, too, like a good steak occasionally. No, it is not my niche, but it should be a good one for someone.

Thank you steak-buddy!

Thanks for sharing, Zed.

Thanks for reading :)

No problem.

Thanks :)

You're welcome.

:)

Great article, smartketeer. I'm in the weight loss dieting niche and I could use this info. Thanks again

Thanks for the time and the feedback Danny!

Yes, me too. Trying to avoid meat, if possible. In fact, for the last 14 years, I realised my health, especially my eczema condition has improved a lot. Even though I’m aging. Ha.
In fact, vegan is good but been a vegetarian has to be careful with those starch and fried oily stuff. Very unhealthy :o)

Once again, thank you!

Unfortunately, there are no first-commenter prizes :)

Cry. Lol 😊
