Rankings Change So Often!

I blogged very briefly the other day about my new post ranking on page 2 (Position 14) and since then, I have been bumped to page 3 (Position 24) and I am really discouraged! Now mind you, my site is still very new but why is it that my post went from position 14 to position 24 within a few days!

Can someone give me a little insight on why this happened?

Yeah don't worry to much at first.

last week my posts were on page 10 no. 3 but today my posts are page 2, so you see never loose hope.

This is normal. Don't feel discouraged. When a new piece of content is published or one that is somewhat new and it is fairly well written, Google will place you high up in the rankings and then downgrade you. It happens all the time to many people. Some of us have dubbed it the "Google Dance."

Thanks a lot! Its just so hard for me not to want to rush this! Good news though, for the same keyword I am on page one of bing!

This is not something you can rush. It could take months.

I am extremely satisfied with my progress so far. I have a site that is not even 2 months old and I am ranking anywhere from page 2-5 on google and page 1 on bing so I would say the future holds a lot for me!

I look forward to it, thanks again!

Then just keep on doing what you are doing and be prepared for when the Google Dance happens again because it will. But as your website become more of an authority, the Google Dance doesn't happen as much.

You are welcome.

Keep on building on the site, there will be ups and downs but the more you have quality content out there the more stable it becomes. One side has a down time and at the same time another side has an up time. A single cork on the water bobs around all over the place, but tie a raft of them together and they undulate over the wave, some parts on the peak others in the trough. The overall effect being a balance.

as you continue to get comments, internally link your content and build your content, you will see more consistent rankings.

So just overall Google realized I targeted keywords and then said wait a minute, this site is super new I'm bumping it down.
