Today I was working through the lesson on leveraging the Jaaxy Affiliate Program. You can find it in the Affilate Bootcamp, Phase 3, Lesson 8 of 10. If you are doing the course yourself, you too want to make a lot of dough, "doug'nt you"? Dad jokes are the worst, aren't they?

All Kidding Aside

As with so many of the lessons, the assignment includes writing a post, and since this is Friday, my family traditional pizza night, I wrote an article for my webiste describing how to do keyword research using Jaaxy, and promoting the keyword search tool at the same time.

The example I'll use today is Pizza Dough Recipe. You should pick a phrase or topic related to your blogging site.

On my website I took screenshots and described the process of using the Jaaxy tool, and showed how I would use it to write content and develop a series of articles on your blog's topic of choice.

If you visit my site for promoting Wealthy Affiliate, you can read the entire article and see how I used an otherwise irrelevant topic to show how to use this incredible keyword research tool.

So then, Why Am I Writing a Blog Post About Pizza Dough?

If this is a blog post about my journey with Wealthy Affiliate and learning affiliate marketing, why am I writing about homemade pizza dough recipes?

In high school and college my part-time job was making pizza's at some of the local pizza places. During my lifetime I think I've personally made several thousand pizzas. How would I know this?

Almost every Friday night for about the last 20 years we've been making pizza at home. We make pizza dough, pizza sauce, and put all sorts of toppings on. Several combinations have become family favorites and standards in our home. They're the sort of recipes that friends expect when they come to eat pizza with us.

That means I've made about 3000 pizzas at home. Let me share with you what we do, and maybe you'll save some dough and make your own at home too!

Happy Friday, enjoy your weekend.

Homemade Pizza Dough Recipes

This recipe is for 3 Large Crusts, I think the pizza screens we use are 16" across.

It really helps to have a kitchen scale to make this dough. I can give you approximate amounts but the weight of flour changes according to the season and humidity levels where you keep it. Whenever possible, use the weights instead of the volume measurements. So then, if you measure by weight you will get the exact same consistency every single time. The only two weights I am concerned with are the water and flour.

I use the electrolux mixer, but any good bread dough machine or doing it all by hand works too.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tablespoons of Yeast (2 packets are close enough)
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 25 ounces of hot tap water
  • 1 tablespoon of salt
  • 44 ounces of flour or 7 and 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons of flour.

Mix the yeast, sugar, and hot water together in your mixing bowl. Stir well and let it form a "cake" of foam on the surface of the water. This will take about 5 minutes or so.

Mix the flour and salt together in another bowl, then add it gradually to your yeast mixture.

If in a machine, let it knead for eight to ten minutes. If by hand reserve about a cup of flour from your flour and salt mix, and knead the dough on a flat smooth surface, like a counter top. It will take about ten minutes but when you are finished the dough should be smooth and soft. A few ladies I know say it should be "smooth and soft like a babies bottom".

So then, if you are making pizza, you'll need some sauce. Here's my recipe.

Easy Pizza Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 6 ounce can of tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning
  • 3 cloves of pressed garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper

Mix all of these together an hour or more before making the pizza to allow the Italian seasoning to mix its flavors into the sauce.

We bake our pizza at 455 degrees on a pizza screen in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes.

Just For Fun!

Some of our favorite combos are mozzarella cheese topped with

  • sausage, mushroom, pepperoni, olive, and roasted whole garlic cloves.
  • canadian bacon, pineapple, green onion, bell pepper, and more roasted garlic cloves
  • bacon and pepperocinis

Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for being along on the ride.

Thanks fir the recipes.

That sounds really good but since I'm allergic to my kitchen, it looks like way too much work. LOL Do you deliver? LOL

~Debbi

Too funny. I can deliver anywhere in a five mile radius. I only have about 20 homes in that area though....LOL
Thanks Debbi

That actually sounds really tasty.
Enjoy your Friday night!

Myra

You as well. I enjoyed putting this one together.

I love making my own pizza dough too my friend but that seems to be a lot of sugar you are adding there!!

And when you are referring to yeast is it fresh yeast or powdered as this can have a serious impact on how much your dough rises!!

We like a slightly sweeter crust, plus it encourages the yeast to become very active quickly, I use the powdered yeast, like the fleischmans packets at the baking aisle. I buy the one pound bricks from Costco for about $4.00. It lasts me a few months

Great to know Jim, unfortunately Costco doesn't exist in my neck of the woods but that price seemed like an absolute bargain!

Yeah, Closest Costco to me is 75 miles away, but then again I live in rural California
