Let's work together - let's help each other
I am going to keep this short. It's a 2 part proposal, but first a short explanation:
We all have our own websites here on WA and a lot of the websites are in similar niches... and do you know what is very powerful for SEO and getting higher ranks on Google? Good relevant backlinks!
One strategy that is used for building backlinks is called "Guest posting".
Soooo, here my proposals:
Number 1
This is my main blog: https://siriousthoughts.com/
If anyone would be interested in collaborating, the topics I write about are self-development and digital marketing. Should you have a website in a similar niche let's get in contact and I write an article for your blog and you one for mine and we both get basically a "free" article + backlink :)
Number 2
Let's make this a thing!!! I thought about creating a platform exactly for this purpose: where people can offer guest posts for guest posts and build a community around that. I believe this could help a lot of us to succeed even faster.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments or write me a private message if you would like to collaborate :)

Hi - this has been suggested before and could be fraught with problems. As I am sure you know, the backlinks have to be from a high authority site, otherwise, they could do more harm than good.
And realistically, the members with such high authority sites, don't necessarily interact with the platform. You are more likely to get enquiries from relatively new sites.
And what if the article is of poor quality and you don't want to use it? The member will not be happy that they have spent several hours on it for nothing. And you would need to lay down the ground rules, such as minimum word count etc.
Well, I understand the point you are making. Links don't hurt if they are not being spammed or they come from a spammy website. Is a link more valuable if it comes from a high authority site ? Yes of course. Will you get links from a high authority site if you just started out? No.
That's why every level should work together and push each other. I think it's sad to see that we have a community here and we can't even collaborate outside of WA?
I am going to pursue the platform idea anyway (more like a forum where people can interact). I think it's wasted potential and many don't know what they are talking about when they say: links could do more harm than good. If you get 1 backlink a month and then suddenly you get 1000, yes that's weird.
But that's the point: with guest posting, you are in power where the link goes onto. You will never be safe from "spam" links.
I guess I will have to write a post about backlinks to clarify this topic...

My niche is completely different - fishing, but I think the idea is really good so I am going to try to find other outdoor, fishing hunting sites. However, I do have a site about being a senior citizen which might relate to self-development. What do you think. Thanks for the post.
