How does Television work for you or Does it rule you?
The television is a tool let's agree to disagree perhaps.
Daily consumption of watching things on the screen can be addictive TV.
Brought about as a mass marketing tool.
How have you included the television in a daily routine?
Do you catch up on the news or use it for some entertainment?
Have you counted the hours that you may work on your Wealthy Affiliate platform, compared to lounging in front of the Television?
Is there a television in the workspace? Does this make it hard to concentrate on your tasks?
About 20 years ago I dumped the TV and chose only to listen to the radio now. I find my production time has increased three fold. Not only am I not interested in seeing so much visual, which ultimately affects my ability to focus. Simply because my mind was racing with pictures in my head that I began to overthink.
Now in saying this I do utilize the ever expansive learning material that can be found on YouTube. That has been an asset to say the least. So much valuable content can be sourced there.
But really anything can steal productivity when not paying attention!
My main point is to observe productivity and the TV can be used as a tool or it can be overconsumed and send you crazy.
Some ideas to get productive!
- Play some favorite music.
- Take a breather and walk somewhere.
- Stretch the body to invigorate the mind.
- Write for fun.
- Sing a song or motto for inspiration.
- Talk to a friend.
- Have a go at making something.
- Take a fresh shower or bath
- Ride a bicycle.
- Have a cup of tea or coffee.
- Play a music instrument.
With my attention on building my special website, where I sell my handmade jewelry and other crafts and some antiques. My day is full of building new outcomes.
What can you do today that helps productivity that you can give you more attention for the Wealthy Affiliate opportunities?
Let me know what you think?

Hi, Erica
I try to mix work and all the other things I have to do with the things we enjoy doing, so it's the opposite approach to how most people schedule their day.
I spend most of my free time with my wife and playing music. Now that I am "semi-retired," I spend at least four hours a day playing guitar, and we watch a movie on most nights.
We have an iPad-Pro in the kitchen (for streaming TV shows), one TV in the bedroom, a small surround sound system in my music room (for music videos), and a full-blown Dolby Atmos/DTS-X certified theater room where we watch movies on Blu-ray and 4K.
We don't stream movies very often because the sound is really bad, but my wife has dozens of channels on Roku, Apple TV, and Cox Cable that she uses to stream and record various mystery and cooking shows. I watch a few things on The History Channel.
Between all this, somehow, we manage to get the routine and "productive" work done.
I manage to write 1 to 2 articles/week for my guitar site. With about 130 articles, it could be doing better, but it has 20,000 clicks and 1 million impressions in the past three months on Google Search Console.
Obviously, we don't have any young children.
So, you seem to be on one end of the work-play spectrum, and I am on the opposite (play-work) end. Maybe somewhere in the middle is really the best option.
We all have to do what we think is best or what we must but remember this. No matter how young we are, life passes quickly, and we only get one. 😎

That sounds like a fantastic setup you have there Frank... and you don't even mention any TV's in your man cave!!
Thanks, Nick! 😎
The small surround sound system in my music room (my man cave) is connected to a 50-inch TV. I use it to watch music concerts on video and some movies that my wife would not be interested in seeing.
When she is watching her Hallmark shows, etc., I'll usually be in my man cave working (with music on), playing guitar, or watching a movie (while playing a guitar).
That's the system that seems to work best for me. I'm not as productive as I could be, but it's the lifestyle that makes me happy.

Thanks so much, Frank for your thoughts here. I appreciate you seem to be balancing the use of the TV.
Kind regards
Erica
Hi, Erica
Yes, it can be challenging to manage fun and work, especially after a certain age.
We eventually find the combination that works best for us. 😎

I usually have the TV on when I go to bed, and usually when I wake up, at some point in the night it has turned itself off, Erica! I usually have YouTube on while I am on the computer in another tab listneing to news, etc.
Have a GREAT day!
Jeff
Hello Jeff, Thanks so much for sharing your TV habits. Sounds like you use the TV sparingly.
Have a great day also!
Kind regards
Erica
For the last 3-4 years, the TV has served me only as a background for music. Maybe a movie.
It's not very productive to sit in front of the TV and deal with other people's lives.
In short, my opinion.
Today I already did my first shift in the optical shop, I was very productive.
Now it's time to visit a sick friend, to make her smile so that she can cope with a serious illness (perhaps incurable),
And in the evening I take time for new lessons on the WA platform.
I think that's enough productivity for one day.
Yes, of course, and try to kiss my son, a little of the best energy for me. And I will be even more productive.
I wanted to be short, but I got carried away.
Big greetings🖐️
Hello Slavka, Thanks so much for your thoughts. Sorry to hear about your sick friend, I am glad you can make her smile.
So lovely you have your son to give you energy.
Kind regards
Erica
Tv is a electrical equipment that has a glass screen which you can watch programs with pictures and sounds which I would use to my advantage to watch YouTube channels to get knowledge how to have great ideas to create different entities to be successful of my choice in having a business that would benefit me and my family

Very interesting Erica...
My TV certainly doesn't rule me... but I do enjoy sitting back and watching a nice informational nature show from time to time...
Also, at bedtime... the TV is always on.. it doesn't really matter what I'm watching... but it helps me to fall asleep!!
Two of us live in a three bedroom apartment and we have five TV'S!!
Hello Nick, thanks so much for your comments here. I appreciate your thoughts. The TV sounds like it helps you get to sleep.
Kind regards
Erica
You're most welcome Erica!
And anything that helps me get to sleep is a good thing in my book!
