Thinking Strategies

Now that I have my Site going: http://momsworkathome.siterubix.com/ I'm thinking about how to get traffic. I have never been much of the social butterfly and being social is a basic of you might as well twist my arm. I do have a facebook, since my friends kept bugging me about getting one. As for twitter, or anything else....no. If anyone would like to take a look at my site to give me any suggestions, I will be more than honored to have it. I am a newbie, I expect plenty of errors. I have left my site on facebook already as well. I am not expecting money rolling ASAP, but I'm just thinking about the future of wanting to actually make something. That's the whole point of this, right? I suppose I'll sign-up for twitter, reluctantly. If there is one thing I despise....is social networks, but it seems like ANYTHING online requires it, so time to saddle-up!

thanks again for your note, Jessica. Maybe I'll delete some "unnecessary" pages.

Eric

I'll work on getting more content!

Hi Jessica,

Because I have built quite a few websites(Or, shall I say modified?) in my life, I would say that it was well done! Maybe since this post you have made some changes--well done! My wife would really like it, and I'll even show her your site. I like the idea that you have written a lot, which is where I know I have lacked--putting my thoughts onto the website. Content looks great! Nice Job, Jessica! I betcha a lot of moms and other single gals would really like your website. http://ericrk.siterubix.com/ Is my website, I actually just updated it, so give me your opinion. yes, I know it needs more content, and I'm working on it!

Make it a great day!

Eric

Eric,

Thank you very much. I liked it, but you are right it needs more content. Personally, I don't like all the links that go to different places just to give definitions (like pyramid schemes). People want information from your site, I think you need to find a way to incorporate it into your website. I know that when I go from one site to another, I will just start searching all over again. You want people to search on 'your' site. So maybe perhaps describe the different types of schemes or scams and explain what they do (in a short summary) rather than redirect them off your page. So I think with yours it's: provide enough information they need and organize it. Your training page, I'm not even sure of the point of it, because you basically just direct them to WA. So, I'm not sure if you intend to give better training information on that page. Good start, it's hard to give advice when you're still working on it, but I'm sure you knew a lot of this already. Keep doing your best, you can never go wrong when you give it your all. I'll keep checking on it if you'd like and give you any 'outside' recommendations if you'd like. Take care!

Jessica

Great work on getting your website up and running Jessica! It's looking great and you've got a very good foundation here that you can work with. Getting traffic comes down to publishing content and writing with the intention of informing people and having them engaged within your site. The Affiliate Bootcamp will literally walk you through this.

Reviews are a great way to attract a very relevant audience, so as the Bootcamp teaches, add some reviews on your site about relevant products. Give them your review, and compare them to Wealthy Affiliate.

We all know that there is no real comparison between WA and the other products because there is no community like our where you can run your entire business. However... your audience may not know this so reviews can help them compare products they may have heard about, to WA!

The more content you publish, the more traffic you will get. To earn revenue from your site you need traffic. If you follow Bootcamp step-by-step, you'll be earning in no time.

Thank you Carson. I have been searching for online jobs and have watched MANY videos of scams that gave me the red flag. I can definitely relate what information I have experienced with a lot of the popular scams into my website. It would help build it for sure.

Hi Silva!

I think you're doing absolutely great! Try to add some videos when you find time. People are lazy and it's always the easiest to just click "play", lean back and watch a video...

I'll try and check on your site every now and then... Keep up the good work!

Thank you very much, I think I'll add at least one video. I'm just thinking about how not everyone uses fast connections, but you are right: People want quick information. A video just may help do that.

You're holding back that you've done this before or you're just a natural. Really nice web site!

Thank you, when I was still in school I tried to find hobbies, so I 'doodled' on the computer. I also figured when I've gone to lots of scam websites or websites I have liked, what did they have in common? So I tried my best to implement what I like, since it does represent me.

Join a forum that you are comfortable sharing stuff with. Anything that has to do with your favorite hobby or your niche. I am the same way. I am a lone wolf, heck I haven't even introduce myself to this community, and probably won't either. But if you want to start generating traffic to your site, you have to start getting backlinks to your websites blog post.
Your friends will get annoyed if you keep on posting your work on facebook. Twitter won't work if you don't have any friends.
Join forums, post your web in the signature and start contributing.

Oh definitely, that's why I haven't done much on facebook. I know what not to do because I take in consideration of what "I" would hate as well. It's tempting to post the crap out of your site, but anyone who see's it way too much will think "scam" or will just delete you altogether. I am a lone wolf too. Introducing myself was a way of torturing me :) BUT! Since everyone has been friendly to me, I will acknowledge them because they have been so helpful. Thank you for your advice, I found a site that I can start 'working' on...a little at a time of course.
