My first week
Hey everyone and thanks for taking time to have a quick look at my first blog.
So I just wanted to say what has been going on in my first week. This is really for anyone out there that is a starter and considering the idea of joining Wealthy Affiliate, you may be sat there thinking "what happens if I join, will I feel pressure to sign up, do I think I can do it?" etc.
I used my starter week to really make the most of everything I could; chatting in the community, getting involved in some discussions and having a go at the training that is offered before making my decision on whether to go Premium.
As you can see I was completely sold... Considering I come from a Sales background I am well experienced in quickly qualifying an opportunity and deciding whether to pursue it or drop it. But with this website I took my time (not because it was a hard decision) purely because WA really can offer so much, so there was so much more information to take in and analyse. I thought things like "will I be able to keep up, if I get stuck will someone really help me, will I feel silly for asking a question that has probably been asked a thousand times?" I quickly learnt that I didn't need to worry about any of the above and I was so taken by the warmth I received from the community.
So far I have guesstimated that I could be earning money not long after I set up my website and start work on it. At the rate I am currently going (which is an hour or so after work every night) and more over the weekend I am confident that I will be earning within my first month of joining WA.
My intentions are to 'slow down', take in everything I am learning and not rush through everything. So far I feel I am doing quite well; I am trying to do a bit of networking, learning and researching as I go and I have made it up to 5059 rank (out of 100k+) without starting my webpage yet!
It appears I have rambled somewhat now, I really hope this has given you an insight as to what you can expect from the community and with a rough time guide as well.
I wish you all the best!!
Sandra

Thank you Loes! I'm not sure how often I will update on my progress just yet, probably quite a bit as I do like chatting away haha! I just wanted to put out there the answers to the questions I had to give a bit of an idea how things are going my end. I hope things are going well for you also Loes, all the best :)
Hi and welcome to WA. I just know that you are going to love it here and everybody is rooting for your success. Do all of the training to the letter and do it in your own time. Remember - this is a marathon and not a sprint. If you ever need any help then just shout. Everyone will be pleased to help.
GOOD LUCK
Hey there, thank you very much for your comment. I will be sure to ask and wave my hands around when I need help, it's great to know you are there, thanks again!

That's probably the greatest thing about WA, the ability to go at your own pace, watch the training when you need to or have time, and not feel pressured to meet some arbitrary benchmark.
I hope I can make this a full time thing; as you say, it would be wonderful to wave goodbye to those hard pressed compulsory targets.
