Personal Development

So in case you don't know me. I'm Bo.

I have learned over the years that one of the most important things one can do for their personal growth and development...is personal development. Seems pretty straight forward right? kinda obvious? But its amazing how often personal development gets pushed to the way side for instant gratification like TV and surfing the web. I myself am guilty of this quite often and have to remind myself that although watching American Horror Story right now seems like it would be the most fun thing to do. I should probably listen to that improvement podcast. That motivational speech. Read that book about improving oneself. Its a struggle. But also a way of growth itself. The book I am currently reading :The compound Effect by Darren Hardy goes into this. And my future posts will reflect this. Anyway that is all for today. There is a difference between instant gratification....and something wonderful right away.

Good Advice!

You are right if you want changes you have to start with yourself eh nice post thank you

There is value in things other than money. The personal development I have experienced here at WA is priceless. Now lets go after the money too. People don't realize that building something wothwhile means personal growth as well. Good post Bo,

Marty:-)

Yes, I'm guilty of this for sure, but I'm working on it!

Hey Bob, I'm Daniel.

You know, you are right on the money about how hard it is to break a habit (of watching TV, eating certain foods, being on facebook) and any one of the countless habits we as individuals have. Breaking those habits, breaking out of that comfort zone, being diciplined enough to follow through on strategies and plans, is one of the hardest work there is - but man how gratifying (in the long run as well as in the moment).

I am glad to find a post on personal development here in this community ( not that I didn't think there would be) since I just joined and since personal development is my great passion in life :).

So thank you for your post and thank you for bringing this subject up
