If your going to comment, then do it right.
Hey, everyone, I have noticed some confusion when it comes to the " Affiliate Bootcamp -comment share post (day 7)" And I'd like to clear some things up for the sake of all of our sites well-being.
Number1) "The comment share post" is not meant for feedback. The sole purpose of it is so that we can share our post with WA member, have them COMMENT on it (not give feedback) and thereby making our post an interactive updating piece of content that google will push forward in the search engine.
This does not mean that you cannot leave the person feedback on WA that actually is a great thing in my opinion.
Number 2) when you are leaving a comment for someone on their site please have the fallowing in mind;
A) you are commenting on the post that you have just read, and not giving feedback about it. This means that the comment should be engaging, maybe ask a question about the information given in the post.
B) Please read the whole page before commenting so that your comment will make sense and look good on the post.
C) Please leave lengthy comments. Again this does not have to be a whole article, lol. But comments like "great post" or "Thank you" is not going to benefit anyone here.
And lastly… Make sure to return the favor to the person who left you a comment.
All the best my friends,
Shlomo J

Hello Shlomo, thank you for this blog. It does become confusing until you fully understand the difference between comments and feedback.
My pleasure. I agree 100%. As a matter of fact - almost everything is confusing at first, lol.

Yeah, the saddest thing was when I wrote a post like this, I was told by one of the long time members it was not appreciated, because it was a rant against WA. (when in fact it was constructive)
I am going to make a training about this topic...got half way but the site decide to not save my progress.
Hanna, I cannot imagine why it would be seen as a rant against WA, as you said it is constructive, nothing more.
I'm sorry to here that your work went down the drain that's a real bummer. Be sure to let me know when you complete it.
Thanks for stopping by my post and commenting. :)
All the bet,
Shlomo J
I am not sure either, but I had a nasty response on my wall claiming so...and the whole thing escalated, so I ended up deleting all my blog posts and won't write them any more :-)
I will however make some training :-) I will let you know when this one is finished, hopefully the next 2 days!

There seems to be a lot of confusion on this subject. My understanding is that the comments are to be positive and engaging, like you said. The place for constructive criticism is in feedback. I recently gave a comment on a post. The content was pretty good but there were many grammatical errors and it could have been arranged in a more eye pleasing way, but I was there to comment...not to give feedback. So I commented on the content and asked a question and gave some thoughts of my own on the subject matter. That's what comments are for. If I had felt strongly enough that this person needed feedback, I would have handled it in another way. There is the pm, if you can't figure another way to give feedback. Thank you for your post.
I am glad that you agree with me. It's a common mistake that I am trying to fix - at least within my circles.
All the best. :)
