Doing Labourious Work is Tedius but Rewarding
In our business, we are sometimes challenged by doing Laborious work in order to achieve results. This has frequently impacted me from time to time and I really wanted to write this blog highlighting how doing this Laborious Work has impacted my life.
There are different types of labourious work that people do in order to achieve success in the home-based business Industry. Some of the laborious work include: Cold Calling, Manually sending emails to all the prospects, Sending voice broadcasts, Physically sending out mails to many people. Whatever option you choose- it creates a sense of stress within us whether the time we are spending doing all this work is worth it or not? Whether people are going to read your message and contact you or not? Whether we will be successful in our business taking this route or not? Whether we are wasting time that could be better spent elsewhere or not?
No matter whatever you choose- doing laborious work causes stress, tension, frustration and anxiety. We get excited to jump in before we start work- but after sending a couple of emails or doing a few phone calls- we lose our charm and start doubting the process. As the doubt increases, we slow down our pace and start searching for easier ways to achieve our target.
However the sad reality is that- there is no 'easy' and 'glamourous' way in any option we choose. We need to feel the burn before we start earning. My mentor always says - "Timing is everything'. We should never lose hope and keep trying all possible ways we can. We need to constantly push till we complete the journey and reach our destination. This way, we will enjoy our work and once the results start coming - we will really cherish the moment.
My mentor recently told me- instead of using the Autoresponder and sending one email to all prospects- it will be best that you send one email at a time to each and every single prospect. This way you will enjoy and cherish every single moment. Following his instructions- I sent over 100 emails to each and every single prospect. It was super laborious and time consuming. However, I did enjoy doing this work. I really felt that I was touching each and every soul and trying to do a personal connection with people who were my leads for my business.
Some of the key things I learnt in this exercise was - it is not the results that matter. It is the journey and your commitment to the activity that really do the miracle. You never know where your money is hidden and which of the prospects could possibly become your customer. But I really gained confidence on one important matter- when we touch the lives of many people, the almighty observes our act and will provide us the rewards at the time it is meant to happen. One important thing is that- one should not lose hope in what they are doing. They should keep persisting till they complete all the required tasks.
As one of the motivaitional quotes say - "Don't Stop when you are Tired. Stop when you are Done". This message has created a deep impact inside me and I do plan to apply this in all my activities going forward.
