I’m a Centenarian at Wealthy Affiliate 02 May 2015

Ha! I’m a Centenarian! Or do I mean a Centurian? I'm a 100 days old in the WA today. How 'bout that? Do you think I might receive a congratulatory message from a President? Oh by the way, coincidently, I’m rated as: ShirleyWoonPremiumTop 100.

100 days old today in Wealthy Affiliate, and haven’t gone bonkers with all the “Geeky Jabber” being spouted by Old timers and young and old newbies alike. I'm so intimidated by the way these blogs are peppered with impressive “Internet Speak” like SEOs, Bounce rates, Site maps, Marketing Tools, Mobile algorithm etc., etc.

I have to say that I've enjoyed these last 100 days participating in the camaraderie with the WA Family, and very little time spent with the training courses. Ok, I know this should be the main reason for my being here, right? But I keep putting that off 'cos I found so much fun meeting the old timers and new members, reading all the blogs posted by diverse interesting people, not to mention the goldmine I found.

I know Kyle has advised not to neglect the lessons, and not to be too distracted by all the blogs, so I do apologise to you Kyle. I promise to eventually get down to it as there's no hurry, right? Assuming I'll reach my threescore and ten years.

Coming back to ShirleyWoonPremiumTop 100 ; The Top 100 got my attention and I thought I should know what this is all about. So I clicked the Rank icon at the top of my profile page and this is what appeared:

My Status: Top Helper

So while I’m here on this page I thought it might be a good idea to understand what all the grafts means, for instance; Helper Rank: 52, Points: 2087 since Jan 23rd 2015 and Change 89; each of the grafts is a date, and it would seem the last one shown is May 2nd and earned 89 points.

Then Creator Rank: 487; Points earned Since Jan 23rd 196 and change is 25 for May 02nd. My creativity is obviously very low down.

Activity Rank: 79; Points: 2,379 earned since Jan 23rd, and change is 77 for May 02nd. Activity lower than usual.

Finally, Member Rank: 87; Points: 5,381 earned since 23rd Jan, and change is 191

So, while all these is well and good, I still haven't the foggiest how all these points works to lead me to the Top 100. For instance, I haven't posted any useful blogs, so I suppose that would be my dismal showing on the Creator Rank. Anyway, how the ranking works is a mystery that I'm not going to try and understand. But I'll just leave it to the powers that be make it happen. The final analysis would be these ranking doesn't help me one jot to learn anything.

I believe they're there to encourage us to participate in the activity of the WA community, which is to share and help each other, by posting our blogs, leave our comments as appropriate, ask and answer questions. Leave our Ranking to happen as it will and not agonise over why it's not working for you etc.

I know I'm rambling here a bit, but my point would be that for any Newbies who is hankering after the Top Ranking, I would suggest you concentrate on your Training courses and Lessons, while joining in the activity of the WA community as mentioned above. I do however advise reading the blogs and comments. I've always said there are a goldmine of information and tips.

So.....now I've got these off my chest, how about we lighten up now and wish me 100 days birthday? Enjoy the WA, family, you're all the best, the creme d'la creme or do I mean Second to none?
