I read Corey's Question about what is Spam here. I clicked and read Kyle's Definition of Spam here. Does this mean we can't put our WA link in our WA blog that we write here? I

If your sole intention is to promote your site by way of trying to sell to the WA community then:

NO you cannot post your site url.

If it is for getting feedback etc then:

YES you can post your site url.

There is actually specific places set out within WA for doing this though.

You can also place your website links on your profile in the appropriate area.

The members who have been abusing the system have been writing blogs with the sole intention of directing traffic to their sites to sell something.

Some of these members were actually embedding links that went to sites other than their own, and the links they were embedding were affiliate links. This means that if a WA member had clicked on the links and purchased the products they were promoting the member who had written the blog was earning affiliate commissions. This is blatant abuse of the system.

This explains it a little better, thank you. I was just getting ready to start Affiliate Bootcamp, but then I saw your question and it stopped me dead in my tracks! I want to start promoting WA ASAP, so I need to get something wrote, published and get it out there. I know I'll probably change things on my website as I do my training, but I would like for others right here at WA to be able to see what I'm putting out there to be published in case I'm doing something wrong, and you guys can show me how to make it right. If I get lucky and somebody out there signs up to WA under me then what the heck? I already own my own domain, which I will be promoting WA on as well. I think whoever was doing what you said by trying to promote other affiliate links on this website is just downright rude!

If you are just promoting WA then there is no way you will run into any problems with you being viewed as a spammer.
