Wealthy affiliate university-where success breeds success
Have you ever noticed that really successful people always have a lot of followers? It almost gives you the feeling that maybe if I keep hanging around with this person, a little of that success will rub off on me!
I won't go in to the long, boring details, but one thing I'd like to share with you is part of an article I read yesterday. RE: Stony Brook, NY April 28, 2014: Mr. Arnout van de Rijt, an Associate Professor at Stony Brook University did an experiment which proved that success does indeed breed success.
I stumbled upon Wealthy Affiliate quite by accident a few weeks ago. I was reading a Blog by a writer who goes by the name of Christene9. On her website, she was giving reviews of different Affiliate Programs she had tried. She gave a long review praising Wealthy Affiliate University. I had never heard of this, so I checked it out. What I found out blew me away!
Wealthyaffiliate.com was founded in 2005 by a couple of guys who met in college. Their names are Carson and Kyle. They both have Computer Science backgrounds, and they both love to teach. What Kyle and Carson have done, is to create Wealthy Affiliate University. They've bridged the gap between education, social networking, and technology. Altogether, they have 22 years combined experience in Internet Marketing. What started out as a small tech company is now a community with over 150,000 members world wide!
I started out with the free membership at Wealthy Affiliate. I got seven days of complete access to the classrooms, live chat with other members from all over the world, and two free websites where I can apply what I'm learning. By day #7 I was hooked! These guys are the real deal I tell ya! I've learned more in seven days than I did the whole four months of trying to learn by myself. Needless to say, I am now a Premium Member. I'm learning a lot, not only from the classes I'm taking, but also from successful Affiliate Marketing Professionals all over the world. I can't bear the thought of NOT being a member of Wealthy Affiliate!

Just one bit of advice, which you will learn here at WA. I would mask your affiliate link. This would make things look cleaner, and feel easier to read. For example:
Instead of: "Click on this link: (your affiliate url)"
You could try: "Click here to get started"
You can highlight that text and attach your affiliate link to it. There is a lesson in WA Bootcamp where Kyle shows you how to do this.
I knew how to do this before I joined, so I am having a hard time finding it for you. Can anyone help us out?

Thanks for the heads up. I'll type this as a question and see if I can find the lesson on how to hide my link. I haven't had time to get through the Affiliate Bootcamp yet. I REALLY needed to get this published in hopes that I can attract some new members. Money is very tight at my house right now - I'm sure you get the picture. Thanks again!
Basically this is how it works:
When you are editing your page, you highlight your text.
You will notice a chain link in your menu.
You click on that "add link" icon.
A small window will open up in order for you to add your affiliate link (in this example).
You add your affiliate link and presto, your now click-able text will direct people to your affiliate page.

OK so- I change my whole link and say"click here to get started", then I highlight "click here to get started" - go up to the add a link button, type in my affiliate link, then click on insert link? I'm gonna try that right now to see if it works. If not, I guess I'll just have to remove my link for now, until I get to the class you're talking about. Wish me luck!
