Just One More Post Could Change It All!
Sometimes you write a post that you're really proud of. It's a good length, is targeting keywords that get searches, but with little competition, you've chosen some cool images and done all the right things. But nothing happens. It doesn't rank as you thought it would.
This can also happen in reverse, where you quickly churn out a post that you really didn't put much thought into, yet it ends up ranking well.
My point is this: The training here works well, but it is not a guarantee that a particular post will do well. The idea is to consistently write and publish content, because you just never know when the very next post you write will make all the difference.
A Bit of a Comparison
Years ago I started writing and selling eBooks. The majority of my books got some sales, but one in particular really took off and sold well. I don't even know how it happened, or why it happened for that book and not others I had written.
Well, the same can happen with the website content you write. Your very next post could end up being a "best seller"!
You might not even know how it happened, but for some reason your post ranks in the #1 spot on Google, generates loads of website traffic and income. Your post stays at #1 and keeps on pulling in the visitors and the money.
Maybe you got the title, keywords and meta description just right and it's really striking a chord with readers. Or maybe you plain got lucky. It doesn't matter. What matters is that you have written that killer post that is generating a lot of traffic and income.
The moral of the story is: Keep Writing.
That "killer post" that changes it all could be just around the corner. Just one very popular post like this could take your affiliate marketing business from average to booming in no time, so keep on going and know that success can happen to all of us.

I've heard people say posts should be 3000 to 5000 words. The average I hear is over 1000. But there are no hard and fast rules. Some of my best ranking posts are under 500 words.
Great post, and a welcome reminder :-D Thanks.
I've also had that experience and another great benefit is that the increased traffic, engagement and improved bounce rate helped to drive my other posts up the rankings as well.
I hear you... having some bounce rate issues myself. My domain had a previous owner who still has active social media profiles that still link to my site. Unfortunately, the previous niche is just different enough that people are landing on my site and not getting the information they were hoping for, leading to poor bounce and click-through rates.
No worry though... I'll eventually drown it out with organic traffic :-D
The more the customer has to read the better. if he comes to your site to read a particular post he or she might like another post even better.

Thanks for this great post, Darren. I fully agree with you: Keep writing. You never know, but your next post could be the next killer.
