Hey Shawn,
I don't have much experience with amazon affiliation yet, but it would make sense that you can review and promote a product and link it to the amazon page for the product before you have your own partnership. You won't get paid for it... but I don't think I have ever heard of a company that frowns upon free marketing given to them.
I tried looking this up for you as well and couldn't find anything on Amazon. but maybe someone else with more experience will be able to chime in and help out...
Thank you Willi. You answered my ? exactly the way I thought as well and I appreciate you looking for me. I look forward to any other feedback on the subject if there's something else I'm missing.

Hi Shawn, To my knowledge,
If you not being Amazon affiliate,
you do not have the affiliate link,
so you do not have the commission.

Build website, write more content, getting more traffic...Amazon will like your site! Thank you for sharing!
I believe you should focus on getting more traffic to your website 1st instead of thinking about affiliate programs. For Amazon, I think you have a 6 month period in which if you don't sell a single thing you would get fired. I think.
Build a basic website and then start the process. Over time, your affiliate programs will be more focused.
Various affiliates are the core of my website. Basically at this point they would end up with free advertising. Would someone like Amazon shy away from a company just getting established? Just using them as an example. Was hoping to get the ball rolling with the integration of the retailers I would be promoting.
Hi Shawn. To the best of my (limited) knowledge, Amazon will not be interested until you can show traffic figures. I agree, it may not seem logical to us, as it costs them nothing, but that's what I've been told. I'm just building and expanding until I start getting visitors.
Thank you. I am not a patient person but that seems to be the way to go. I expect things to happen very quickly but at the same time don't want to shoot myself in the foot.
