Start working from home on your Birthday !
Firstly, I should mention that it is St. Patrick's Day and if you are a Canadian of Irish decent as I am, your liver will need help getting over the merry-making of the day. Just kidding! I don't drink much myself and to me, St. Patrick's day means I will be turning 54 in a couple of days (YeaH !!?).
The title of this post "Start working from home on your Birthday" is exactly what is going to happen. I had a good career in Pharmaceutical Research and if I hadn't lost my job a couple years back, I would have never ended up here in WA Land. So, I'm grateful and I'm also taking a year off traditional employment as a warm-up for "success retirement"...it's a good gig if you can get it !
The plan is to learn and continue writing useful content into the website as you all are doing. I also run an e-commerce store and day trade the market for added stress. That should keep me busy.
Not much added value in this post just yet but, let me ask a question.
I was reading a few articles on my mobile the other day and I noticed after the heading, the author included the time it takes to read the article..(e.g. 10 minute read). I thought this was a good idea and wondered if anyone does this or sees a value in including this with their articles....? I think... specifically for articles that are continued on other pages. Let me know your thoughts on this. Have a great day !!Recent Comments

Hi Shawn
Not sure of the added value to that. People read at different speeds after all. Also no point to whizzing through an article to finish in the allotted time if you've not understood, just trying to stick to a time?
I think if the content is interesting and broken down properly, people will read it anyway. Just my take...
Shawn - I like the title, it's also a great idea; I too will turn 54 this year in May.
I also blog from time to time on medium.com and I noticed the site will include the time it takes to read a blog post; I see some value in it - for instance I find an interesting post to read, if I notice the reading time is too long and I don't have that kind of time to spare, I can come back to it when I have more time to read. However, I wouldn't add that information on any of my written material.
