Google is Ranking My Website and I'm a Newbie
Only two months old and already Google is ranking my website!
It's been an interesting couple of days where I have decided to take a little break from working on my website to just breathe and regroup. I wasn't accepted into Google Adsense and I was OK with that because I know my site is still new..... But I think I also was relying on that approval for more steam to fuel me forward. I love hitting little milestones along the way and that was a planned milestone. I know it will take around six months for Google to have more trust in my website but it's also hard looking that far ahead and just hoping what you're doing now is working.
With that all in my mind I took a break to rest and get back grounded so I can do what I've learned is necessary. I checked my Google Analytics account that I have linked to my Google Webmasters account and I see that my site is getting impressions! I wondered how so I investigated further. I then see I have numbers by a few of my articles.
I go search those keywords in Google and see that I have three articles that are ranked on page 4 and 5 for my keywords!!!
This is great news considering:
- My website is new
- I have not put my keyword in my conclusion much
- I have not embedded video
- I have not put out more than two articles a week
What I have done:
- Wrote articles around 1,000 words or more
- Used images and alt tags
- Got comment engagement
- Posted on Google +
- Submitted site map
Basically following the instructions here from Wealthy Affiliate as much as I can. (I'm human and forget some steps, but I'm learning)
I don't fully know what everything on Google Webmasters or Google Analytics mean but I'm seeing enough to figure things out. People were actually searching the keywords I researched and are seeing my website as a search result which will turn into traffic as I move up higher in rank.
So for those still wondering if Wealthy Affiliate works.....YES!
You may not notice it if you're not checking your analytics or don't understand what the data means but there should be some activity brewing if you're following the lessons or reading the various informative trainings around the site.
I'm thrilled and motivated to do even more than what I have been doing now that I see I'm showing up in Google Search results. I'm even comparing what my serp looks like compared to those around me and to those on the first page. I'm developing new ideas on how I want my titles to look to stand out and I'm looking to see if I need to change any meta descriptions. I will be writing more content, trying to embed videos, and follow the ninja steps talked about here to get ranked in 21 minutes (although it will take longer than 21 minutes for me since my website is still young).
I didn't expect to see Google ranking my website this soon but what a welcoming surprise. I still have much more to learn and much more to do, but I'm at least on the right path.

You go girl!!! Keep writing those reviews. Just keep in mind that not everything you write will rank and keywords you didn't target you will rank for as well. So it's a numbers game. The more quality content you can get out there on a consistent basis, the better. Google will trust you more and rank more of your content. So keep at it!
Thanks so much Eddy!! Yes I will just keep writing and be pleasantly surprised and see what gets ranked and for what lol. It should be okay as long as I remember internal links and keep my site engaging so people will just explore and look around however they may get there lol. :)

I'm so glad this is encouraging because I know some people start to second guess their decision and like many others have said if they had quit when they thought to they would never be where they are now; making a full income from their websites. And I'm celebrating with you as well!! Imagine where we'll be in a year :)
