Confidence lag

So they said this was going to happen....of course, the new convert in anyone pushes forward constantly with excitement . But obviously no one can sustain this indefinitely and then there comes the first blip. Loss of confidence. Can't see the big picture. Maybe you told someone about your new venture and got a less than stellar response. Maybe the little "devilman" (or devil-woman) in your head is particularly strong with the negativity, or maybe you are just not one of those "glass half empty kind of people" and have to struggle in all areas of life.

But with age comes wrinkles and arthritis ....oops....yes of course that. But with age also really does come wisdom. It is a silly cliché but sometimes getting older means you can handle your feelings, your doubts and your insecurities. And you realize, that unlike your younger self, you don't have to quit. It is just one week, one day, or maybe a few moments and then "this too will pass". So if you are struggling, have a cry, take a nap or drink some wine (that's my method). Just DON'T QUIT. No matter how bad you feel right now, stick it out and keep plugging along.

And that, dear internet folks, are my oh-so-deep thoughts for today - :.))
